I like the simplicity and brevity of their response

Exactly. If the headline is garbage, I assume the story is, too. Real journalism that’s worth reading doesn’t need to resort to clickbait.

What are “the commons” in this case?

“Why am I being arrested for poisoning my family? I only did what I was told at a Truth Seeker’s Conference!”

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

Of course, I think this is completely asinine. I can’t help but wonder, though, if researching it is necessary. There’s not nearly enough political will to stop environmental damage at the source, such as imposing strict regulations on fossil fuel companies.

More like this, please!

I don’t want a sedan, suv, or pickup truck.

Answer: crawl back under your rock and never communicate with the outside world. Win/win!

X’s lawsuit claims the law’s “requirements are so vague and unintelligible that social media platforms cannot understand what the statute permits and what it prohibits.”

Vague, overly broad laws are indeed a problem; I’m willing to give him that. ONLY that.

Unfortunately for Musk, this is not vague. If the footage is something you created or manipulated, you know perfectly damn well whether it’s legal or not. He’s trying to confuse the issue, and conflate fraud with free speech. Hopefully, the court will see right through him.

She shuts down hatred with such sincere grace that it’s impressive. Personally, I admire her restraint most of all.

She frequently deals with idiots and jerks. Hints at condescension or sly insults would be easy, but she effortlessly avoids stooping to such a level. She stays laser-focused on the topic. Behavior like that makes her comments even more powerful.

You deserve to see this @https://fedia.io/u/@[email protected] Thanks for all your hard work!

Edit: that tag is sloppy as hell. I still don’t know what I’m doing lol please don’t hold it against me

If it’s against the community rules, it’s either ignorance or deliberate obnoxiousness. When possible, assume ignorance - not everyone is as good as spotting AI slop as you probably are.

If it’s NOT against community rules, then it’s just a matter of personal taste - or, again, ignorance.

This is now one of my favorite uses of this meme format.

I’m SO glad they included “drafted by Florida hypnotist” in the headline. We all just skim headlines sometimes, and that portion speaks volumes.

I was expecting it to be just another post-apocalyptic drama, and I’ve seen so many mediocre ones that Station 11 wasn’t high on my list. I was very wrong.

Station 11 was well written, well cast, and interesting (if confusing at times).

Just about everyone looks better when they smile. It’s true regardless of gender. I don’t see where sexism enters the equation.

I feel pretty oblivious. What am I missing?

Is it because of the instance they’re posting from, some kind of “award”, or what?
