Am I the only one who likes fabric softener? For me it was a game changer to go from wrinkly, stiff clothes to softer, less wrinkled clothes.

I definitely don't use it every wash, but I do think it makes a real difference.

I wouldn't be caught dead using dryer sheets, though. That's a scam.

For me it's a strong sickly sweet with an unpleasant aftertaste. Even a little bit makes some primal part of my brain think I'm eating something poisonous. I also taste cilantro as being soapy, so I think only certain people taste it that way and others don't.

And it's artificial as in "not sugar". It's artificially stimulating taste receptors that are meant to detect sugars. It's plant based, but I don't think that's enough of a reason to categorize it separately from other sweeteners.

Stevia tastes like poison to me, I don't know how people can stand it. But it seems like a decent option if you can tolerate it.

Although I'd still consider it an artificial sweetener, and it still has some health risks, albeit fewer and less severe than other sweeteners like aspartame.

Same, it's really easy to keep them separate mentally.

I think QWERTY may even be better for typing on a phone, because common letters are more spread out, leading to fewer errors.

I honestly don't think this looks very good. The lighting and assets look good on their own, but this remaster completely changes the art direction of the original, and it ends up losing a lot of the atmosphere that the original had.

I hope they make some last minute changes, or we at least get a mod to restore it to the original game's aesthetics.

I think a simple color grade, and tweaking/removing some of the lights could basically fix it, so I'm a bit surprised they took this approach. It looks like they prioritized tech demo over faithful recreation.

Sadly yes, and by a lot.

Yeah this is what I'm confused about, why would you send your potential catfish victims to the same place where they can talk to each other and then ignore them?

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This makes the most sense, but I still find it odd that they would send victims to the same discord server, or friendica.

Like, it can't be a real person, right? Has anyone tried following the links? I'm curious how they're scamming people. It just seems like anyone getting the same message 5 times won't fall for being catfished, so I don't understand what their strategy is.

Personally, I like they/them better. It's already been used for persons of unknown gender for a long time, and using it as explicitly non gendered is really seamless.

Wheras neopronouns can feel very attention calling and othering. Then there's the issue that most of them sound gendered anyway, ('zhir' sounds a lot more like 'her' than 'him')

I do agree about the need for more nb representation, though.

I was referring to Linux nerds, piracy anarchists, privacy/foss fanatics, etc. All of which are great, but may scare off new users.

Tankies are definitely a bit of a problem, although they usually stick to their own instances. Luckily I haven't encountered much if any racism on here. Where are you seeing it?

I think there are more "intense" people here (in a good way), but reddit can more aggressive and negative in general on the big subreddits.
