Unfortunately, the previous moderator of c/europe has deleted their account a while ago, leaving c/europe largely unmoderated. We are now looking for someone to take over as moderator for this community.

As c/europe is one of the largest and most active communities on feddit.de, we would like to finde someone who is interested in ensuring that it is properly moderated. I think it was fine overall. But this is one of the few shows where I actually prefer the dub of my native language because the voice acting was rather underwhelming. To be fair the German voice cast is the same as the original show so they have more than 20 years of experience and nostalgia might play a role too 😁

Quadlet is such a nice tool. I never liked docker as a process supervisor because it was way inferior to systemd, which is why I was leaning towards podman anyway. Quadlet finally provides a sensible declarative configuration alternative to docker-compose, which integrates so well with systemd. Combined with Ansible, Quadlet is a nice alternative to NixOS. Can't wait for the latest version with support for .pod files to land in Alma's repos.

I think on a rather small platform like Lemmy it is inevitable that non-vegans find their way into a vegan community (or "outsiders" to any community in general) by the All feed.

Es gibt immer mal wieder Berichte, dass Leute Probleme beim Erstellen eines Kontos haben. Momentan gibt es dazu leider einen Bug, der verhindert, dass Fehlermeldungen bei der Registrierung angezeigt werden, sodass sich die Ladeanimation ewig dreht.

Deshalb habe ich hier mal alle Kriterien rausgesucht, die ich so finden konnte, damit die Registrierung klappt:

  • Username muss zwischen 3 und 20 Zeichen lang sein und darf nur lateinische Buchstaben (keine Umlaute), Zahlen und Unterstriche enthalten. Natürlich darf er auch noch nicht existieren (dafür einfach schauen ob feddit.de/u/deinennamenhier ein Profil oder 404 zurückgibt)
  • Das Passwort muss mindestens 10 und darf höchstens 60 Zeichen lang sein (längere werden manchmal ohne Hinweis auf 60 gekürzt)

Falls es damit nicht klappt, schließt die Seite und versucht es später nochmal. Ansonsten ist in der Sidebar auch noch ein Matrix-Raum verlinkt, wo ihr Fragen stellen könnt.

Erstmal Hallo an alle, die innerhalb der letzten paar Tage neu zu uns gestoßen sind. Wir freuen uns über euch und hoffen, dass ihr hier eine langfristige Bleibe über den Blackout hinaus findet.

In diesem Megathread habt ihr die Möglichkeit über die Ereignisse auszutauschen, sowie sämtliche Fragen zu stellen. Hier nochmal in Kürze was passiert ist:

  • Reddit monetarisiert den Zugang zu seiner API
  • Beliebte Drittanbieter-Apps wie Apollo und RIF kündigen daraufhin ihr Ende an
  • Reddit CEO spez gibt in einem AMA keinen Ausblick auf Verbesserung
  • Als Reaktion haben sich mehr als 5000 Subreddits entschieden vom 12. bis zum 14. Juni das Licht auszumachen
