Hope this is okay to share. I wanted to write something poignant to the crap going on. I recorded this last week, finished mastering it Tuesday. Submitted it to my distribution service for upload to the major streaming services, so it'll be on Spotify and other things in a week or so. I wanted to share it sooner, though.

Prowling by Old Bottle Black.

   I thought animals
   Were always on the prowl

Turns out they were doing other things

   Delay, defend, deny.
   I don't kill for fun.
Took my shot now someone's doing time.

   I thought animals
   Were always on the prowl

   I learned all I know
   When I was a child
Turns out they were teaching other things

   Honey's from the bees
   Grapes fall off the vine
You keep yours and I will stick to mine

   I thought animals
   Were always on the prowl

Turns out they were doing other things

(for the music nerds: the droning riff and solo are played on a 1957 Rickenbacker 425. The rhythm track was on a 1960 Rickenbacker 450. I used a '74 Fender Musicmaster bass through a '64 Bassman. I put the guitars through a JCM800 and used delay and the amp's drive own drive for distortion. I did the vocals through an SM58 using a Soyuz preamp.)

From "Punisher / Batman" by Dixon, Romita, and Janson.

I'm leaving Ed be. He's cool, but his views are polarizing.

I have a polarizing filter on my phone, but that can be circumvent Ed with the right camera lens.

I just watched that the other day. I can recite Circles and Dress to Kill practically verbatim.

Both. Oh well, to each their own.

God... I missed it. It's still questionably funny, but better than before.

This is funny?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 2 days ago

Ah, yes. That's Arabic for "The Chemy."

You think fidget spinners apparated from thin air?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Perhaps. Whatever the case, the alliteration rolls off the tongue more easily.

Are they dry and rough like sandpaper on other days?

Never don't misunderestimate the dumbity of Uhmerika.

I bet $50 on her for my own peace of mind, but I knew I'd lose it. She was a late stage afterthought to stem the hemorrhaging created by Biden being a senile entitlement president. We have to get the notion that NOBODY is owed the presidency in this country. It's either earned or stolen.

I've been using newsgroups for video downloads for quite a while. The Arr suite is great for this. On the same note, I tend to find a good deal of music with Lidarr and my news server, but not everything. Notably, classic rock and older albums are more obscure. I supplement this with SoulSeek, but that's got its own issues.

What other options might be available that I'm probably overlooking?

Edit: To clarify - I'm trying to find other sources or options for finding the music that's more difficult to get from the sources I mentioned.
