literally the fediverse working exactly as intended… blahaj clearly states its purpose and lives by it. on any other instance it might be ptb, but on blahaj thats just good instance administration

i honestly think that applies to most of the world: pretty much everyone will back the blue states, because the red states are friendless right-wing nut jobs compared to pretty much the entire west… and it’s not like china would come to their “rescue” - they probably dislike them more than the rest of us even!

i think some form of advertising is useful no matter the structure of your society: if you have a cool idea for a new product, getting the word out is an important way of making it a reality

what we don’t need is the constant, and ever-present repetitive drone of advertising mundane things that you already know about

Dear Assface,

I’ll kindly refer to the social standard of “meetings that could have been an email”, and suggest you do a web search via your provider of choice for santorum - wiktionary has a good page.

Thank you, some_guy

cats destroy native wildlife… at least in australia, it’s a huge problem

https://invasives.org.au/our-work/feral-animals/cats-in-australia/

(whilst this article references feral cats, there’s obviously minimal difference between feral cats and roaming house cats as far as wildlife destruction goes)

holding people responsible doesn’t necessarily imply prison or punishment… sure the way we do it now is exactly that, but it doesn’t have to be… rehabilitation doesn’t have to be about punishing someone

you start with the most obvious wins, and then use them as precedent to win the other cases faster

it’s shit, but courts are generally pretty slow… you want it to be as obvious as possible

they mentioned nothing about prisons… they said we hold people responsible. the way we punish is beside the point

the point is that if someone does something bad because they’re the product of a poor environment, we still consider them responsible for their actions

hopefully it’ll get ordered back up and now more people know about it
