We're great at what we do, it's true.
That's despite all of our weaknesses. And there's a lot of them.

That was the entire point I made.
To be able to tank venoms like the mongoose or the honey badger. To be able to rarely get sick such as sharks or bats. Thick keratin skin or shells, such as the pangolin or armadillo. Being able to survive great falls, such as most small mammals and insects. Being able to regrow limbs such as some reptiles.
I'm not saying that humans are weak and fragile like glass. We can tank a lot of stuff. Most animals can tank a lot more.
Our big evolution trait is massive brain, adapting to our environment, and language. Aside from our nutty long distance stamina, and being able to throw, our bodies are NOT what makes us 'superior'.
Anybody else noticed that they just described reddit to a t (minus the fact that Reddit does offer more niche communities, and I am ASSUMING that's what they mean by more content). I've been on Reddit since 2012. And I promise you the only thing that's ever changed about reddit is the bots and content farms. It's always been shitty mods, shitty people, and mostly shitty content. The height of reddit IMHO was the r/circlejerk era. Reddit was shit, but at least people acknowledged it, and were very tongue in cheek about it.
The OP kinda used bad faith arguments, so everyone is pointing out ways that humans excel. They have a good point however. Humans are not superior. We are not the best species. Just about every animal, insect, or parasite can kill us or seriously harm us. Our bodies are not resilient, and have about a thousand built in flaws. Our 'intelligence' just creates new dangers that kill us.
Humans are great in many ways, but we do not sit at the top of everything. We are great at what we do and that's it.
Edit: A lot of people aren't too happy with me talking about the human race in the light I did. The point of the comment was not to say humans are trash and weak. It's to say that we excel at many things, but we are still way behind other animals in many other ways. There is no one species that is the best. They all excel in many different and special ways. We aren't the best species.
Put a hundred toddlers on an island. Leave a few older children that will disappear a few years later that are taught to fish/hunt/gather. See what kind of language develops, or what kind of civilization. How many survive?
It is VERY unethical. Add variables to other islands, such as the amount of children, and what you teach them.
Edit: the commenter's game is in dev hell
Weeds. I believe starting in S2, they start doing the same song, same intro, but in different styles. I believe they even had green day cover it at one point.
Also worth noting, segregation may have "ended" in 64, but there's still soft segregation to this day. There's a massive divide in culture, that's left over from administrations such as Reagan. Racism still hasn't ended, although it has gotten a lot better just in the time I've been alive.
Worse thing? They changed the formula and they taste like shit now.

Cocaine. It was VERY fun. I fucking loved it.
I haven't touched it since. I just knew the hole it would lead me down.
I think the difference here, is that you're not talking about a collective, but instead two different individuals. I agree with OP on this one, and I think "guys" can refer to a collective of humans.
Is it right? Probably not. Do I think of just a bunch of men when someone says "come on guys"? Not really.
