Lol that's a wild one. Compared to Reddit Lemmy has a completely negligible userbase and is (at this point) no competition at all. Why would Reddit waste any resources on this?

But isn't this kinda like the one click hosters like Rapidshare or Megaupload? Those services (at least the big ones I think) have been taken down for copyright infringement although they had the benefit of the doubt because data was stored fragmented and encrypted. Or am I not seeing something important?

Beehaw.org chose to defederate some big instances like lemmy.world because the beehaw admins feel like they can't moderate the inappropriate content entering their instance from big instances without proper mod tools.

They made a long post sharing their reasons but I can't find it at the moment.

I'm really curious: If I understand communities correctly you can flag a community as NSFW so all posts made there are automatically flagged NSFW?

Is this something you can enforce instance wide or do you really have to "hack"your server to enforce the NSFW flag?

This feels like hell as soon as you try to update your server.

I raised an issue on GitHub to address the missing option to flag posts as NSFW.

Apparently there's already someone working on a fix so you all may get a solution in the next days.

Yes! Keepass2. My database is stored on my OneDrive so I have the same database on alle my devices. If I decide to cancel my OneDrive, I can easily migrate my passwords to another cloud host.

Because he was outstanding in his field.

Don't forget Satisfactory. I really hope, this doesn't affect its development.

Ist ein "etwas" älteres Bild von mir, das mich immer mal wieder dran erinnert, mehr Zeit am Hafen zu verbringen.

Technically speaking, you are completely right. The problem is that the negative association rubs off on the project regardless of the factual context. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter whether the political views of the developers influence the political direction of the software. The association that sticks is: Lemmy is the one with the Stalinist developer.

I really hope so...

What the fucking hell? How is this even legal???

According to the linked issue on GitHub there have been changes to the NSFW blur.

To be honest I did not find an option to blur NSFW posts in the Jerboa settings. I did only find the checkbox to enable or disable NSFW posts all together.

Can you explain how to enable NSFW blur? Did I miss anything?

I'm using Jerboa 0.0.27 from F-Droid.

Yeah, I am hyped for the PC version too! Any idea how long it will take until it's available for PC?

Hey guys,

maybe someone has a solution for my issue: I mostly play games using a Shield TV Pro, streaming games via Moonlight from my PC. I use a Xbox Wireless Controller connected via Bluetooth to the Shield TV Pro. This works flawlessly except one little caveat:

There seems to be no "Low Battery"-Warning for Controllers connected to a Shield TV. Los is obviously annoying because the controller just turns off when the battery is depleted. I can check the battery capacity in the Android settings but I get no notification of any sorts.

Is it because there simply is no notification for low peripheral battery on Android TV or is it because any notification isn't visible over Moonlight?

Maybe there's someone more knowledgeable than I am. :)
