I love how it looks but maintaining has been time consuming. Like whenever I wear it in the bedroom it is like 2-3 hours of detangling and 1/4 bottle of synthetic wig detangling spray and synthetic conditioner to restore it. Even restored I can't play with it like running my fingers through it. While still looking good, the fibers just wrap around each other. The conditioner helps but it is not enough lubrication to allow those fibers to untwist.

They do have the silk line but cuts and colors are limited. You may be okay with a natural brown though.

I have a second on the way, so its not enough of a deterrent for using them. I got one shorter in the back with longer side tails to reduce some of the maintenance.

This is my first year using a wig and I don't wear in public (yet). With increased usage I may consider other options or maybe something other than synthetic.

Is your friends client config setup for split tunneling?

If the client config installs a default route to the VPN you will get all their traffic.

The server config can refuse to forward traffic to the internet, but then your friends will be effectively on your LAN but otherwise appear to have no internet access.

Its a good idea to restrict which IPs on your LAN they can access, but the client config also needs route only those IPs over the VPN.

Wish procedurally generated textures with a dynamic level-of-detail were more popular. I'm sure the artists tooling like blender may support this, but if generators were packaged with the game, end users could re-raster those textures for higher-end hardware.
