I finished "dungeon crawler Carl" by Matt Dinniman, and currently reading the second book in the series "Carl's doomsday scenario". So, even though I didn't remember getting the first book, and being a bit reluctant to start it, I enjoyed it a lot. I did have to get into it for a while. Overall the pacing is nice, the humor is great without getting in the way. The premise of the story is of course quite nonsensical, but it doesn't get in the way of some good storytelling. All in all a very entertaining book.
