I honestly cannot fathom how CN is such a pile of garbage. Does anyone understand why they can't do the basic things that rail owners do, every single day, all over the world?

When it goes private, money comes first, product is just an afterthought

It's a publicly traded company

We went from it being owned by all canadians, to being owned by a (comparatively) small number of shareholders

Why. after decades, the feds haven't exercised eminent domain and just laid down new lines is beyond me.

Every trip, except the first departures of the day, are late. My last trip was a full hour behind schedule.

Nearly all trips I've taken have, at some point, been delayed as the freight trains have right of way.

And how they always seem to be in the way is more than just scheduling.

Why lay new lines? Just re-nationalize CN
