because of emotions? we have seen Starlink being used to threaten/force Ukraine to comply now that they’re reliant on it for their military. We do not want to allow anything similar to happen here

People are usually afraid of something they don't understand. You're so hyper focused on a few political issues that you are not seeing the enormous benefits this and other technology can have for all of humanity.

Who cares about the owner and how he's making money. Everyone dies, he will be dead eventually. Technology lives on. Don't be regressive.

It’s a literal national security threat to become dependent on starling, as demonstrated in Ukraine. We can build our own networks and support other LEO internet projects.

The technology is not at peril here, Starlink the company is. Competitors exist, and they'll take Starlink's place, and the technology will live on. Competition is what's to like about capitalism, isn't it?

Just like the guy that thought putting lead in gasoline was a great idea... now we have to deal with toxic soil for generations to come.
