Did he? I mean I know he used to work for the Transportation department, but did he actually do anything other than go on talk shows?
Yeah, "I used to pretend to work here" would be more accurate if still a bit charitable.
Say what you will about his complete lack of guiding principles and substance (and I do), but the dude is a grandmaster at failing upwards!

And yet I-35 through downtown Austin was approved. Houston continued to widen their highways despite no one wanting it. And Amtrak still sucks. Trains derailing every day. I was not impressed by his tenure. Seemed very “business as usual”. Just one more lane bro!
