Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Afterward, he told reporters, “I talked to the President [Trump] today. I wish him well.”

Isn't that against the terms set by the judge for Trump not to talk to con-conspirators?

Edit: The typo stays, since it fits.

[–] DickFiasco@lemm.ee 47 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Upvoted for con-conspirators.

Pff. No mugshot? I want to see the hair dye running down again.

I guess he figured out that he had to go to Atlanta Corrections and not some store called Correction Atlanta or something.

Get that fucking American flag pin off your fucking lapel you goddamn traitor.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.one 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

IIRC we didn't get immediate mugshots on the others either. Probably by EOD or tomorrow.

I might just have to print, frame, and hang this.

Are we sure it wasn't his blood?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago

It might have been whatever was dripping down Gary Oldman's head in The Fifth Element.

5'9 sounds accurate, but 180 pounds? That seems a bit generous. I bet they just asked him and didn't bother weighing him.

I was most interested in his BAC, too bad they didn't take that.

[–] morphballganon@mtgzone.com 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Someone said they just use whatever it says on your ID

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

NY licenses don't have weight on them (assuming Rudy still has one)

[–] MotoAsh@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

Nahh, density makes a big difference. He's probably a rather weak old man, so therefore doesn't have all that much non-fat weight.

On the other side, even basic body builders are obese by BMI standards.

[–] Slwh47696@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Their BAC tests probably would max out

As a New York City resident who lived through Rudy's term, may I say how glad I am to see that picture.

[–] DickFiasco@lemm.ee 46 points 2 years ago

In a few years he might qualify for a work-release program through Four Seasons Landscaping.

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.world 33 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Does Rudy have the money to post bail?

[–] GlitzyArmrest@lemmy.world 18 points 2 years ago (3 children)

I'm sure some seedy bailbond place will happily loan him the money.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 58 points 2 years ago (2 children)

No joke, the NYT article says:

After his booking, Mr. Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, stepped out of an S.U.V. to address a throng of reporters, calling the case “an attack on the American people.” He then made his way to A 2nd Chance Bail Bonds, a business near the jail.

Four Seasons Total Bail Bonds

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Man, I sure wouldn't, even if I was a staunch conservative. He doesn't seem like someone who pays his bills if he can avoid it.

[–] xantoxis@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

I would. Just the slim chance that I get to send a bounty hunter after him would be worth it.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.one 9 points 2 years ago (5 children)

Georgia has a 10% deal, so he only has to post $15K.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/trumps-bond-set-200000-fulton-county-election-interference/story?id=102431955

"The bond can be paid through cash, a commercial surety, or a court program that requires a payment of 10% of the bond amount."

Giuliani was sober when he spoke to reporters as he left his Manhattan apartment earlier Wednesday to fly to Atlanta.

I legit thought this is what the third bullet point said.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.one 10 points 2 years ago

As opposed to all the other times he's talked to reporters...

[–] deaconblue@kbin.social 10 points 2 years ago

Would also have been news

[–] clearedtoland@lemmy.world 26 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (2 children)

“I’m feeling very, very good about it because I feel like I am defending the rights of all Americans, as I did so many times as a United States attorney,” Giuliani said.

He realizes this is a criminal case, not a rights case, right?

Edit: they edited the story and removed the quote. His original and full answer can be found here..

[–] Toribor@corndog.social 14 points 2 years ago

Rudy is proudly defending every American's right to be a criminal dickbag. A defeat here would be a loss for assholes everywhere.

Four Seasons Total Criminal Arraignment

[–] Melkath@kbin.social 7 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Are they making them do a proper booking and appear at the arraignment in jail clothes after sitting in a cell for a bit?

Or is this just more proof they are above the law?

[–] KuroJ@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

They absolutely should but I'm going to guess no.

Wow Rudy's mugshot may just give me enough vigor to fight off the case of COVID I caught.
