BBC bosses went the extra mile to ensure the safety of actress and comedian Diane Morgan during the filming of 'Cunk on Life' in Las Vegas. The security measures were put in place as a precautionary step due to an incident where Diane was almost attacked on set.

During filming, Diane found herself in a precarious situation when a drunken individual approached her aggressively. The quick actions of the security team prevented any harm from coming to the comedian, with Diane jokingly recounting the incident as a moment where she thought she might "get shot at."

Make sure you read the travel warnings before coming here. Everyone has a gun and gets offended quite easily.

On top of that, there's the civilians to worry about too.

Gotta protect a national treasure at all costs

Does that mean there's a treasure map drawn on her back? I would reach out to ask her, but you can't see your own back.

She's the little girl from Waterworld with Kevin Costner

Waterworld? I love that movie!

Uh-oh. Smokers.

I bet this is blown way out of proportion. Some guy who had a beer recognized Diane, security stepped in when he talked to her.

Celebrity web site makes a big deal for clicks. The article seems to suck up big time to the security team and BBC, and notice how it has zero details what actually happened.

It's just to generate attention and ad clicks.

"It was so busy. And everyone's naked and p***ed.

"And I was there in my tweed coat, looking like a complete lunatic. And one guy, as we were filming, made eye contact with me, and I thought, don't look at him, don't look at him. Don't look him in the eyes."

The comic continued: "And then I caught his eye, and he came over to me, this drunken guy.

"I didn't see where he went, but apparently he was going to go for me, wasn't he? And the security guys launched at him."

That's how the actress herself describes the incident, make of that what you will.

Sounds like he was just coming over to her and security stopped it.

Sounds like she, as a woman, should be okay with people approach her aggressively instead of feeling uncomfortable with it. /s

who to believe, the person who was there, or someone on the internet?

[–] essteeyou@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I wonder why she was actively trying to avoid eye contact with him. Must be because he was behaving totally normally.

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Why was everyone naked? lol

[–] beaiouns@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 2 months ago

That's Vegas, baby!

Well Cunk did say she felt like she might get shot at, but maybe that was a joke? It does seem like the sort of joke she'd make in that situation 😅

[–] 1984@lemmy.today 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Yup it was clearly a joke. It's her sense of humor. :)
