The best chance for a campy spy series that has already tried the gritty reboot ploy???

Who's clamoring for another James Bond movie in 2025? Literally who? What ground is left to cover there?

Edit: these responses are hilarious

Me. I would like a new James Bond film.

Also, what do you mean by "ground left to cover"? Action spy thriller is a whole film genre. Each film is largely standalone with a few references to each other, and when a new Bond is announced it's a complete reset.

Plus James Bond has an infinite number of bad guys. Bad guy countries. Secret bad guy countries. Secret shadow organizations. Former agents. Inside moles. The list goes on forever.

Also the James Bond gadgets. Jetpacks. Laser watches. Cars that shoot missiles. Spy shit is cool.

James Bond is a series that could go on forever.

Amazon spent billions to buy the company and millions more to get the legacy producers out of the way. I’m sure they want a return on that.

So if they are going to make more, we as consumers want then to be good, don’t we?

personally I wouldn't care if the franchise died as long as amazon was hurt maximally in the process.

[–] zipzoopaboop 2 points 2 weeks ago

I would see that as an absolute win

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

OK and...? So because Amazon bought the franchise I am supposed to care about this dated character from the 60s appearing in New films?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago

I think they're fun action movies so I guess why not

I enjoy a good bond film.

β€œBond to the Future” where he travels back to the sixties with cool gadgets and fights Dr. Evil to restore the timeline.

And get his mojo back

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

He should tell them to piss off if they offer.

Lol, cool. Guess I'll be skipping the next bond films. Nolan is a hack, made worse by how up his own ass he is.

More slop they want to shovel down your throat. Amazon, how about writing an original story ya shitheaded corpo.

Were the last few Bond movies not dark and dull enough?

Abigail Thorn is: James Bond. Like the time she was a naval captain in WWII, and went to space, back when she was the same guy.
