Why do people even get excited about games before they release and are reviewed? I suggest not paying attention to any "gaming news" until a game is out and reviews are posted. Why waste your time otherwise? Same with tech. Just don't pay attention until something is released and reviewed. Your time is better spent elsewhere on real tangible things.

FOMO, fear of missing out

With as much puffery as this game was putting out prerelease, I kinda expecting it to be mediocre at best. Dunno if my prediction has been proven true yet but not a great beginning with this review.

Yeah, the previews I saw massively put me off. It looked uninspired if we're being generous.

I've been (re)playing some not-so-well-recieved RPGs recently. In august I replayed Greedfall, which PC Gamer gave a score of 67, and now I am playing the Outer Worlds, which PC Gamer gave a 79. Yes, they're flawed games, but I was and I am enjoying myself. One just has to keep one's expectations in check.

What I'm trying to say is: I look forward to buying this for 5 € in 5 years.
