It's worse than that. Human rights are the number one justification for state violence and aggression. Not only are "property rights" the justification for police violence. The protection of human rights in general have excused nearly all invasion and conquest since the Berger revolutions deposed the "rights of Kings". Hitler was protecting German citizens in Czechoslovakia. Putin was shielding Russian speakers in Ukraine. And the only thing George Bush cared about was Iraqi freedom.
