I'm not the OP

In case you were worried about cars being too safe, don't worry. The most lethal car brand in the USA is pushing the envelope and innovating entirely new ways to make a nuisance of themselves.
Also, the dash cam footage of Tesla's self-driving tech is terrifying.

(A head-on crash at 60 MPH is like hitting a brick wall at 120 MPH.)

This is not true at all. The amount of energy is the same as hitting a brick wall at 120 mph, but the energy is spread over both cars. So the end result is actually the same as hitting a brick wall at 60 mph.

The Mythbusters got this wrong once and were buried with people correcting them, so they tested it and it turned out the viewers were right.

Yeah, those videos in the article aren't horrifying at all 😐

To be honest, I don't give that much about the swasticar drivers trusting Elons great full self driving. They could inform themselves beforehand. But I don't want to get pancaked by them. And I don't want others to be as well.

Fuck those cars.

Self-driving cars were never a good investment. It's a really hard problem that doesn't really get us to a better world. All that money could have been spent on public transit, which has a whole lot of benefits.

Is this really AI, or just garbage algorithms by Tesla?

When I think of Fuck AI, I want to call out the art theft, the garbage books, the shit it spews.

AFAIK it's the same technology, just applied to sensor->driving instead of prompt->text/image

But I won't be angry if mods here decide it doesn't fit
