OG name and logo were much cooler in my opinion

Yeah "wefwef" was unique and easily searchable. "Voyager", not so much. Using a common word for an app is not really a great move if you want users to easily find your product. Still, I love the app and what the dev has done! Unfortunately though since I got a new phone since wefwef's inception, I no longer have the original pwa or logo on my phone!

My PWA version was broken with the way the back button worked anyway though so I suppose it's for the best. I use the APK version now.

Wait voyager is wefwef. It was my first before I left for memmy but I eventually switched back apparently

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago

Yes, wefwef was renamed Voyager.

The ol’ Lemmy App Switch A Roo.

Same. I was using Memmy but saw Voyager and noticed it’s far closer to Apollo and updated more frequent and consistently.

with nova launcher i can change the name back to wefwef

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nice. This is an original one made way back when lol.

i also had it before i switched to nova launcher

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

On iOS you can sort of do this by creating a shortcut. It’s not as easy as Nova, but at least there is a way I can still use custom icons and names even though I’m no longer on Android.

So my Voyager app currently uses the Apollo icon I used when Reddit killed it.

Me too! It works and I’m not really worried about missing any features.

Same, it's a classic

Haven't clicked mine in ages. Does it still work?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Yep. It will even update the webapp to the latest version inside.
