I kinda need one like The Wizard™ pictured here with the bendy part so you can clip it to you, anyone have any specific recommendations of those kinds? Bonus points for 18650 and not being like, $13mil lmao.

No it isn't and I'm old too. It's either butt rock, dad rock, pop, rap that's actually just pop now, or terrible country. Barely of each is even passable but there's a few gems in each except for the country which would need to go older or play Charley Crockett and they won't.
And there's still good stuff coming out, it's just (as usual since like '97) it gets no radio play outside listener sponsored or college stations. Satellite excluded, terrestrial only.
Hell still sometimes I'll type "flatpack" instead and it'll just say "hey dumbass that's not a thing," but even then I just go "lol whoops" and fix it, no problem!
Like sure learning the commands is an adjustment but once you learn a couple I still think Linux ends up being easier for simple stuff like that installing/updating, etc.
Dude tbh I had to install chrome on a friends laptop last week (not because he couldn't, just because we needed it and I happened to be the one on the keys), and I legit couldn't do it for a sec. I had to go to google, google "google chrome," get the DL page, dl, run installer, etc.
I literally said "goddammit why can't I just type 'flatpak install google chrome' in the terminal?!" (Would have gone with apt/dnf, but I wouldn't know his sudo password, though he could have just entered it had it been needed).
I can barely install an app on windows (anymore), and I think linux is actually easier as long as you don't have to compile from source. Less likely to get Gogle-Chorme.exe too..
Yeah they complain when they're censored, but love when they're the ones censoring. Just try and say "free speech is good" literally anywhere on lemmy, you'll be called a nazi. Same goes for most sites for most political leanings, even many that do claim they like free speech, post something anathema to their hivemind and you very well may be banned.
Very few actually want free speech, because it includes speech they think is bad and almost universally they think that should be shunned to make them more comfortable, that goes for tankies and nazis and everyone in between.
I've still never seen anyone claim them to be free speech advocates, especially not anyone that runs those instances. I have seen the users complain about being censored elsewhere though, to be fair, you're definitely right about that.
Who said it was censorship free? They're very pro censorship, in fact most people are, actually.
