I've had the same issue and it was bad enough that I thought I was having problems on WG.
As it turns out something about Lemmy is causing a lot of hang ups and timeouts on Boost. Unfortunately I'm tired of waiting for the next update and I've moved to Jerboa for the time being as it is MUCH faster for me.
FWIW I was seeing slowdowns and lockups on Thunder recently out of nowhere too so it may not be confined to Boost. Jerboa does not seem to be affected, but may be lacking some of the features you like from Boost.
Hopefully the app is updated soon and hasn't been abandoned.
Mate these ghouls literally rolled back Roe v Wade right in front of the world's face. I don't think they care what we think or how much coverage they get. They are immune to the consequences of their actions and thus will continue to act this way.
Maybe the large transport vehicles don't have to slow as much (in theory) since there's a longer run up and a less severe kink to make the turn? Purely a guess.

Thunder has been progressing nicely IMO. I've been trialing most of the other popular Lemmy clients and that's my current favorite to replace Boost if we don't see an update sometime soon.

While I wish Lemmy had better internal tools for community discovery lemmyverse is probably the best tool out right now for users to make practical use of the fediverse. It would be cool if Lemmy had a way to change or default the instance search to show lemmyverse results. I think it would help smaller instances get started much more easily.
