During a major Oval Office address on Friday, President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth introduced a new sixth-generation fighter jet costing $20 billion. In an unbelievable move, Trump named the jet after himself — the F47 — emphasizing his place in history as President of the United States.

"The F47 will be the most advanced, capable, and lethal aircraft ever built. We're confident that it overpowers the capabilities of any nation," he said before adding: "47 is a lovely number, isn't it."

Don't get me wrong, I think they're great too. Bought an electric and found myself barely using my car anymore. So I sold the car. But for a lot of people, a car isn't even an option. Much like owning a home is now a luxury.

So as usual, it's greed.

This isn't a movement though. This is poverty.

#Hundreds of officers decertified

Lawmakers gave POST a year to set up the state’s decertification system, including hiring staff and establishing investigation procedures. From the start, the commission was playing catch-up.

That’s because, under SB 2, some decertification would apply retroactively. That includes officers who committed felonies, qualifying misdemeanors and certain kinds of misconduct — specifically dishonesty, sexual assault and use of deadly force.

So far, POST has received over 35,000 cases for review. About half of them involve incidents dating before 2023.

The reports include allegations against nearly 20,000 current or former officers who worked for big cities, small towns, universities and a slew of government agencies.

POST has completed investigations into more than 13,000 cases, with nearly 300 resulting in decertifications. Dozens of them voluntarily surrendered their badges.

Another 140 have had their certifications suspended while POST investigates.

In newly released video of Mahmoud Khalil's arrest, we hear his wife, Noor Abdalla, begging for information from officers. Abdalla, who is eight months pregnant, recorded the video.

Four Tesla Cybertrucks burned overnight in a lot near 4th Avenue and Spokane Street in Seattle. The lot serves as a temporary storage space for Teslas arriving from overseas before they are sent to dealerships.

This incident comes after a series of attacks on Tesla vehicles and facilities across the country since the Trump inauguration. Elon Musk, an early investor, board member, and current CEO of Tesla, has taken a role in the Trump administration.

These attacks have ranged from graffiti and vandalism at dealerships to arson and reports of gunfire at Tesla locations, including a recent incident in Portland.

While covering the story for Seattle’s Morning News, a man approached KIRO Newsradio’s Luke Duecy and pulled out what appeared to be a knife.

“He decided to come up to me right before I came on air and tried to get me to leave, essentially. And then I told him “No.” And that’s when I saw this person reach in the back behind like a belt or something and pull something metallic out underneath, and I went “oh,” and there were unfortunately a lot of bad language between the two of us.

“That was a scary moment as well. But you know, obviously someone does not want us to be here and to show these vehicles, but that’s in fact what we’re doing.”

Dude was like a pillar of the lemmy community and I believe a mod as well. I haven't seen him in weeks. Hopefully he's doing ok.

Vice President JD Vance was booed by audience members as he attended a performance at the Kennedy Center with his wife, second lady Usha Vance on Thursday.

This comes after President Trump fired many members of the Kennedy Center's board and elected himself as chairman. President Trump has also previously complained that the preforming arts center has become too "wokey" and installed Trump loyalists, including second lady Vance and fox news host Laura Ingraham, to replace the fired board members.

The Forbidding Unlawful Representation of Roleplaying in Education, or FURRIES, Act, filed by Austin-area Republican State Rep. Stan Gerdes, would "prohibit any non-human behavior by a student, including presenting himself or herself, on days other than exempt days, as anything other than a human being."

The law would allow for exempt days, such as Halloween and other school dress-up days.

The law defines "non-human" behavior as "any type of behavior or accessory displayed by a student in a school district other than behaviors or accessories typically displayed by a member of the homo sapiens species," with provided examples being:

Using a litter box for the passing of stool, urine or other human byproducts

A personal or outward display, except during a school play or by a school mascot, through surgical or superficial means of features that are non-human such as using tails, leashes, collars or other accessories designed for pets

Using fur, other than naturally occurring human hair or a wig made to look like human hair

Artificial, animal-like ears

Other physiological features that have not historically been assigned to the human race through a means of natural biological development

Students who bark, meow, hiss or make other animal noises that are not human speech

Licking oneself or others for the purpose of grooming or maintenance.

This should be required viewing for everyone. Especially those who serve!
