It's right if it brings happiness to yourself and the world, it's wrong if it brings pain to yourself and the world.
It is also right to follow rules if you don't have a clear understanding of the situation, because (hopefully) those rules were made with an expertise that you don't posses.
You're also missing the point. In your scenario, someone else did the work and the person with the money got more money as a result. This is what we mean when we say you can't earn a billion dollars - you're just skimming off other people's work
You're missing the point. The point is that "no-one works for a billion dollars". Making money for free because you already have money (aka interest) is not working for that money.
She's not wrong - it is a parent's responsibility to look after their children. But like.. I'm still happy to feed a hungry child if it needs food. Because I'm not evil
