Space station 14 is the only game I enjoy that I don't look forward to launching because I know once I start it's a 80/20 chance I will either have the greatest gaming experience ever or be bored for 2 hours (and a 100% chance of playing until 3am). 10/10 would reccomend

VR hasn't failed, the investors' dream to make it replace real life so they can fill it with ads has failed because, shockingly, people prefer to live in real life. It's the same way (most) people don't spend all their time playing normal games

I still think you should be strict on exploits. There was one a few patches ago where you could dupe but it ruined every server someone did the exploit on. Maybe delete posts that show how to do exploits and ones that don't link to the issue council?

Do you browse all? Maybe try local, I don't know LW's policy on porn but you will see a lot less if you use local instead of all

(Opinion bit)

There should definitely be an exception for federated users. @sag@lemm.ee did not sign up to lemmy.world and therefore did not agree to the ToS.

(I am not a lawyer, anyone else can correct the stuff I say below)

Since lw isn't storing sag's data (apart from public posts and comments) there shouldn't be any concerns with child data protection. lemm.ee would be serving them content that under 18s shouldn't view, not lw (unless they are hosting it, which I don't think you do?). I may be missing something (again, not a lawyer) but what is the point of this other than being (in my opinion, a bit too) careful with the law?

I also reccomend deep rock galactic, the devs are very involved in the community. The community is (mostly) amazing. There isn't much story and it is completely hidden in the in game encyclopedia and the wiki. No drm (apart from steam) and lots of content and depth that keeps you hooked once you make it to your first promotion.

If you already have pcvr, sony released an adaptor to make it work with steam, the drivers don't have the best reviews though.

I knew it would be that video, one of Tom's greatest works

In the comic, Cueball texts the cipher for "HELLO", and Megan responds with the cipher for "HI"

The title text deciphers to "AAAAAA A SCARY MONSTER AAAAAA!"

I don't think the linux version has denuvo, if it does, it's already been cracked so you can play that instead

Ted Ed recently made a video on it and they cover how dreaming could worl. I would summarise it... but I zoned out in that part of the video

I have an external SSD which was automatically mounted to /media/user/longstring. The first thing I did reformat it to ext4. After a reboot, longstring hasn't changed but everything I put on the SSD is gone and I can't cd into it or ls without sudo.

This is a problem I have been having for a while and I thought I had fixed it but it has recently returned.

Sometimes my raspberry pi will lose connection on a random device. Sometimes it's tailscale, sometimes it's wlan, sometimes it's both. It still shows as connected in my router even when it is unreachable. When I can access it through one device while the other is down I check for errors but can't see any. If left alone for long enough it will fix itself (today it fixed itself after 6 hours) or I can reboot if I still have access to ssh through a working device.

To fix it last time I fixed wireless localisation settings (it was set to us instead of gb) but it being fixed after that change might have been a coincidence.

My only idea for why it doesn't always work is because of a range extender I have upstairs (where the pi is) which is connected to the network using fritz! mesh. I think it's a bad idea since it is placed very close to the main router (almost directly above) but my dad insists on having it.

After replacing the cpu cooler, we turned the system on with just the psu and hdmi plugged in to see if it works, it did and booted into windows but we had to power it down by holding the off button on the front of the PC to move some cables. After rebooting, the nvme drive is missing from the boot options and won't reappear (with csm enabled or disabled)
