Why does every platform try to be everything nowadays?

Older games used to have this by default. I remember playing Quake II with fire bound to CTRL alongside with mouse look enabled.
The game looks really nice, but knowing Paradox’s DLC policy, I am not sure if I can afford this game over the next five years. Release incomplete game, release DLCs for missing base features... the Paradox way. Bleugh.
I recently bought Invisible Inc., a turn-based tactical stealth game. I had my eye on it for almost 8 years now, but I seldom found time to play any other game than DotA. Now that I have beat my addiction, I can finally enjoy some games I had on my wishlist for a very long time. I also bought the first two Thief games and Grim Fandango Remastered.
Grim Fandango made me tear up. I have never had so much fun in years playing a video game. I really enjoy adventure games (played Myst, Monkey Island, Beneath a Steel Sky) but I have the feeling that this style of game is a bit out of fashion currently. Any recommendations for modern adventure games?
GNUbuntu was an Ubuntu derivative that delivered only free software in the default install. It was abandoned for gNewSense and ultimately, Trisquel.
Your problem is, as far as I am concerned, rather common among bi men who have experience with other men but not with women.
It is kind of uncomfortable when you have recently met a woman (that you might be interested in romantically) and you mention being queer in some implicit context (assuming that your bi-ness isn’t deterministically clear) but you don’t want them to think that you are only interested in other men, because you can imagine having a romantic relationship with them, but perhaps it’s too early to mention that. “I am also interested in women” really screams “I can have sex with you, too”. Bi erasure (especially erasure of bi men) makes it more difficult to approach women (especially non-queer women), because these tend to write you off as a gay man, and as stated above, going for a head-on approach would appear as desperate or simply creepy. The solution is, as dumb as it sounds: Be clear about being bi and look for women who are also queer and/or understand & accept your bi-ness. If you have to mention that you “are also interested in women” after mentioning that you are bi, or if a person simply ignores your attraction for women because you have had a relationship with a man before, that person is very likely not a good partner for you as they will have a hard time processing an integral part of you: Your bisexuality.

I didn’t know the “Machines should work. People should think.” slogan had a name. I thought it was something they came up for the Paperwork Explosion ad campaign.
Exactly. At times, Debian offers more package granularity than Arch, which is really the key to minimize bloat. imo one should use Arch for the bleeding-edge packages it provides, not for the rather exaggerated minimalism argument. Almost every distro can be reduced and micro-optimized to be as minimal as possible.

Not really. Foundation is notoriously NOT character-driven, bit of a pendant to Dune’s hero-centered narrative. I love the world of Foundation, but it really is bit of a chore to read the books.
If only it wouldn’t cost... 200€. I could buy 6 Ergo MXs for that same price. Of course, you avoid e-waste and all, but come on now, that’s a lifestyle product if I have ever seen one.
