I think that's the one i use, I had a few mobile users not be able to watch plex in the past so I installed jellyfin and that so they could go back and forth

But then how do you make them suffer if they leave?

Curious why you need it on a daily basis?

I use plex mainly but run jellyfin alongside it for people that watch on mobile.

I started with my old desktop that had an Intel cpu with quicksync and put unraid on it, i started with 2tb disk and gradually switched over to 14tb drives now I'm at 100tb total storage.

I have several famy friends coworkers using it now, at first no one was really interested but as streaming prices went up and content got more dispersed people started jumping on board.

Now multiple friends setup their own servers so its really good coverage especially if I need to take mine down for maintenance the wife can keep watching stuff from other people's servers.

Things you need to find out is if you are behind a cgnat or other isp issues

Hi everyone, I have been getting back into photography lately and switched to using linux full time about a year ago.

I ended up deciding to use digikam as my photo library management tool and then edit in darktable. both applications I decided to use the appimage for easier use and to have the necessary dependencies to get things like opencl to work, (I had a hard time getting it to work with the .deb)

now I also use multiple machines and recently learned that you can create .home and .config folders for each appimage to have all their settings etc save there, and it seems that this would make it pretty portable.

would it be a bad idea to for example keep the appimages and their folders in a synchronized folder like with nextcloud to use the same* appimage across machines. I never have the same machine on at a time but it would be nice to have all the settings sync'd but im not sure it would then break something since two machines use nvidia gpus and the other uses an amd gpu

Employees at Pho 21 restaurant in South San Jose had an unexpected showdown last weekend with what could be considered an attempted "robot kidnapper."

Hello I am looking to self host my own pixelfed account just because I like self hosting and like sharing pics.

I saw there is a sign in with mastodon option on the pixelfed site and was curious if I host a mastodon instance instead, could I then use pixelfed with the same account?

I have a lemmy, mastodon, and pixelfed account right now and from doing a few experiments it seems mastodon has the best federation with both pixelfed and lemmy as far as commenting back and forth so it would be pretty neat to use a mastodon instance if that is possible

So possumpat.io will be going offline soon so I wanted to start the community on a new instance
