not mine. its very car dependent and most old walkable neighborhoods were left for dead. its making a comeback but it is a US city that was ruined with urban "renewal"

phone broke, car broke, cat broke, house broke, im broke

My older kitty (14ishM) had his health decline over the weekend. Vomiting, no appetite (unusual for an obese cat on a diet), not his usual self. Got an x-ray done and the vet said he has never seen so many gallstones in a cat. It likely caused an infection, as antibiotics are helping him greatly. As for the gallstones, we are trying medication, but would likely need surgery to deal with them, but since he is older and the surgery can be risky, we are considering just managing his treatments and getting him back to functioning and happy. We did not see any symptoms of this until the liver issues so it was hard to catch :( would love well wishes for Ned and wanted to make awareness to this issue!

applied internally to a role thatd be a nice pay pump. its a data role with a strong emphasis on python and sql skills. i studied my ass off on data concepts anticipating questions like "how would you start solving xyz problem" or "how would you find business insights on zyx" and the first question is "whats the difference between a dict and a list in python?" or hell, even a leetcode-like question. i like to think im decent at USING python and sql, but not having used them in a current role in ~2 years, these google-search-esque questions threw me off guard. i fumbled making up answers for a few but some i straight up had to say i have no fkn clue. so todays been a bit of a demeaning experience! has anyone else ever had an interview where they asked questions like that?

edit: thanks to yall for being supportive, this is the kindest comment section ive had. im still recovering from the embarrassment of these guys thinking I probably lied about having these skills lol. part of my difficulty is that ive been on a rotation program at work and have spent almost the last year on a cyber analyst position and it didnt hit me how much I forgot to code! so now I'm applying to some cyber roles too, wish me luck!!

I am pretty against having a kid of my own for many reasons (scared of pregnancies, scared of babies, awful genepool, etc.) but I do like kids, and am not against adopting a kid. It's just rare to see many parents with adopted kids, so I'm always curious about the process. I'm getting a tubal in a few months, so I guess I'm just asking all my questions early lol

shows up randomly and intensely sometimes and can last for a few days. i suspect its hormonal but who could possibly say. im losing my mind

I'm 23 and literally haven't done any real theater. Used to be in ensembles during summer camp bc i didn't gaf at the time but im considering it as an adult now. there are two auditions in my town next week for different groups and I think I wanna try but I'm super nervous. I need to prepare a monologue for one of them?

Beginning in at least the 1960s, the United Kingdom gained a reputation worldwide for football hooliganism; the phenomenon was often dubbed the British or English Disease.

However, since the 1980s and well into the 1990s, the UK government has led a widescale crackdown on football related violence. While football hooliganism has been a growing concern in some continental European countries in recent years, British football fans now tend to have a better reputation abroad. Although reports of British football hooliganism still surface, the instances now tend to occur at pre-arranged locations rather than at the matches themselves.
