Signal is pretty safe. They exploited a specific phishing vector and forged group chat invite links that also send conversation data to their own linked devices.

AFAICT this was a phishing attack, not an attack on Signal.

Disclaimer: I'm not endorsing the use of Signal for government information, which is supposed to be kept for the record.

I know it's off-topic, but thank you so much for linking to the text-only NPR site. It's like a breath of fresh air in an city full of shit (by which I mean ads), grime (ads), and ads (you guessed it, ads).

I believe he has just realized that tariffs can, in fact, be higher than 100%.

Expect higher numbers in the future.

I'm beginning to feel there's a fundamental disconnect between the vocabulary of everyday people and the words journalists use. I can only imagine how the dialogue goes around a journalist's house.

"Honey, have you heard about the Winstons?"
"No, why?"
"Fred from accounting SLAMMED they're planning to move to Wisconsin."
"Oh, I see. Did you GRILL him about where exactly they'd be going?"
"Yeah, I HAMMERED him with questions until he MELTED down. IN TEARS, he SCREAMED at me, 'Yeah, somewhere near Madison.'"
"...screamed?"
"You know... politely."

It's a FUCKING NAZI SALUTE, YOU FECKLESS MILQUETOAST SCUMBAGS.

How HARD would it have been to write "STEVE BANNON ALSO MAKES NAZI SALUTE AT CONSERVATIVE CONFERENCE"?

God, this shit makes me so fucking angry.

  • Added type diesel_async::pooled_connection::mobc::PooledConnection
  • MySQL/MariaDB now use CLIENT_FOUND_ROWS capability to allow consistent behaviour with PostgreSQL regarding return value of UPDATe commands.
  • The minimal supported rust version is now 1.78.0
  • Add a SyncConnectionWrapper type that turns a sync connection into an async one. This enables SQLite support for diesel-async
  • Add support for diesel::connection::Instrumentation to support logging and other instrumentation for any of the provided connection impls.
  • Bump minimal supported mysql_async version to 0.34

A special thanks goes to @momobel and Wattsense for contributing the SyncConnectionWrapper implementation.
