OP to the boyfriends: If you’re 555 then I’m 666.

For me it’s the upper body. I can go gradually to waist-deep but I get the cold shock when it gets to chest level.

With Gene having advanced alzheimers, it was likely he wasn’t aware his wife was already dead until he himself passed. Sad situation all around. The dog died because it was in a crate and wasn’t able to eat/drink.

I honestly thought conjugal visits were just for a couple of hours and not overnight stays.

I tried taking pre/pro-biotic gummies for a while to somehow try to fix my gut, and it just made me even more bloaty and gassy.

Which is too bad because he's the most comic-accurate Batman in terms of look and physique. He's not a bad actor either. Definitely deserved a better movie/s.

Yeah I wasn’t pertaining to this particular show, just in general how Ticketmaster operates.

[–] scytale@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They also take advantage of people in a rush to grab tickets or someone else gets them first, so people just buy whatever they can click, not noticing they are dynamically priced.

For the free tickets you got, I think it’s possible to go to the box office at the venue and ask them to print paper tickets for you.

I've used Deezer before. At the time I felt like their audio quality was better than Spotify. They also had a much cleaner and less cluttered interface. I don't remember seeing the option to select the playback device though, but that was like 6 years ago where desktop clients were just running on electron. Not sure if they allow switching playback devices now.

Was it still glorious between 2016 and 2018 though? That sub was fun back when it was all aliens and stuff. The cutoff should probably be a little earlier.

I’ve been anticipating to watch it this week. Sigh

One of the best things that came out of the Arcane animated series is this song. They just released an official music video for it.

Sister band of Thank You Scientist, who they now share a vocalist with, aside from the bassist.

Fun fact - this was Die Antwoord, Ninja specifically, before they became Die Antwoord.

Are they basically just there to shoot down the plane before causes larger casualties by crashing into a heavily populated area? I can't imagine what else a jet can do to a large commercial aircraft in the air.

I only go on there nowadays for my city’s sub and r/nba. I logged on yesterday while I was on a vpn and found out today that my account as suspended due to “unusual activity”. I didn’t register an email when I created that account. Welp, bye bye to that account then.

I have two SSIDs on my home wifi, one for the 2.4GHz band and one for the 5G band. I noticed that my phone is giving me a Privacy Warning ("This network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic"), but only when connected to the 5G network. I use Mullvad's DoH profile on my phone and my router also points to Mullvad as the DNS provider. As far as I can tell, both networks are configured the same, except for the 2.5GHz network having an extra 20/40 MHz Coexistence setting (that is enabled). And even then, I don't understand how my network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic, let alone only on one band. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

EDIT: Never mind, I rebooted my phone and it went away. We had an ISP outage and my phone just connected to my network after it was restored, so I guess there was some random bug.

I like Fox but I feel like he's not a good fit for the Spurs right now. He's in the win-now stage of his career and it doesn't align with the current Spurs timeline. Sure, Wemby kinda accelerates that, but the rest of the team needs to catch up first. It might also hinder Castle's development. Playstyle-wise, I think it can work, although Fox isn't that good of a shooter. What do you guys think?

So I have a Samsung TV that uses Tizen OS, which unlike an Android TV, is very limited with customization. I've been trying to figure out how to get the TV into my vpn and I discovered the Mango Router by GL.inet. It's basically a small travel router that allows you to use openvpn or wireguard to set up VPN. I figured this might be a good workaround to get my TV and other devices that don't support the mullvad client into my VPN. And if you're wondering why I don't just set up vpn on my primary router, I work from home and my company's systems trigger alerts when they detect logins coming from known VPN IPs, so I don't want to just pass all my traffic at home through my vpn. I'm also afraid of flashing my router and bricking it lol.

My question is, does anyone know if this use-case will work? I'll essentially set up mullvad on the Mango router (the docs say mullvad is supported), connect the Mango to my primary router, then connect any device that doesn't support mullvad to the Mango router. I'm aware of the potential degradation of speeds, but if I only use it for my tv, the Mango's 10/100Mbps ethernet speed might be enough if I hardwire everything.

Edit: I just saw in the documentation that the Shadow, the next model up from the Mango, has a maximum of 50Mbps for wireguard, which is I believe good enough for 4k streaming.

Thanks!

First time homeowner here so please forgive the newbie question. I'm in Texas so our houses aren't built for the cold. We're going through freezing temps at night right now, with temps getting up well above freezing during the day. I woke up this morning to my kitchen faucet not having water (at all) when turning it to the hot setting. It's the type of faucet that you just turn left (hot) and right (cold) and lift to open. The cold water side is fine. The two other faucets found in the two bathrooms have hot water without issues, but they have separate faucets for hot and cold. I've been religiously dripping all our faucets every night since last week. Is it possible something froze? And what I can do to start figuring out the problem and possibly fix myself?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Here's what it looks like under the sink. The upper left tube is what I believe is the hot water, the right for cold, and the bottom goes to the dishwasher.

Update: Water finally came out! I left the faucet open on hot, then ran hot water on all the sinks and showers in the bathrooms to get the water heater pumping. After around 10 minutes, water started to trickle and eventually went full blast. I'll make sure to drip the hot water as well and not just cold from here on out! Thanks to everyone who responded!

This needs to be explained a bit, so here's my problem:

  • I use Focus for sleeping. I manually enable it when I go to bed and disable it when I wake up.
  • My Focus setting disables notifications for email, calendar, and some messaging apps.
  • My security camera app notifications are not disabled, obviously because I want to be alerted if something triggers it in the middle of the night.
  • However, there is a certain time in the morning between 7:30AM and 8AM where people walking on the sidewalk triggers alerts that wake me up. And no, I want to avoid not pointing my cameras away from that part of the sidewalk because it helps me catch people letting their pets pee and poop on my yard.
  • I usually wake up at 8AM and getting woken up 30 minutes earlier is annoying.
  • I am willing to accept the risk of not getting notifications from my cameras on my phone for 30 minutes before I wake up.

What is the most practical way to disable notifications from an app on a scheduled time duration while Focus is already in use? Schedule it in Health? Create a shortcut/automation?
