For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Thats because Elon is actually an idiot who has lots of people tricked ... have you actually heard him try and talk about a subject you happen to be well informed on? Turns out he has no clue and just uses big words and lies alot.
Elon Musk is the ultimate Dunning-Krueger.
He talks well enough to fool someone who doesn't know shit, with the confidence of someone who knows everything.
But if you have even a wikipedia level of knowledge, you know he's talking shit. Nonstop shit.
I wouldnβt say heβs an idiot. Heβs a narcissist who feigns ignorance in order to pander to his fanboys. I think heβs a lot more dangerous than Trump who is an idiot and also a narcissist.
Articles like this one are well-meaning but they just end up signal-boosting him and validating his narrative that βleft wing media are persecuting him.β

Congratulations then, the commander in cheif of the worlds most powerful army and the worlds richest man are idiots. The most powerful democratic nation on earth just got usurped by Pinky and The Brain. If you're so fucking clever and they are so fucking dumb, how could you let this happen?

Yeah, this is a very good way of putting it. Musk was born wealthy, but you don't become the richest man on earth without being good at something.
