I don't get it. It's Canada and weed is legal. Are they just openly saying they're trying to entrap law abiding citizens?

ACAB

The drug war has always been about entrapment of good people.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What the fuck are you talking about????

[–] [email protected] 44 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I’m not OP but I think they’re talking about how the war on drugs was always about entrapping good people

Must be why weed is legalized and most drugs have been decriminalized (in many provinces) in personal consumption quantities then. The war on drugs has ALWAYS been about entrapping the good people who are dependent or take in recreationally, and NEVER been about shutting down murderous organized crime networks. Never.

You think it was police who helped push for legalization lol?

You're also having a laugh if you think it's this black and white. Cops and politicians get high as shit too. They need their fixes as well.

The war on drugs has always been about controlling the poors and justifying expanding police budgets while social programs and schos get cut down.

Rob Ford was a literal Crack fiend that had protection at a high level. The police damn well knew what was going on, but how many of the people who enabled this were ever punished?

If you're a part of the ruling class then designer drugs are part and parcel but for poor people even just buying becomes incredibly risky as the market isint properly regulated.

Are you confused?

This is what great grandparent post said and you response indicated this was strongly doubted by you.

Drugs were criminalized in response to increased freedoms of black people. Make their drug of choice illegal, and now you’ve got free access to slaves again!

The campaign is about driving while high. That is not law abiding.

[–] zipzoopaboop 1 points 2 months ago

Yeah we had ads about driving high even before legalization. Specifically remember a kids pack of zigzags talking To him in like 2007 "YOU. Are high. Do not drive"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

What is ACAB? Also, weed is legal, unless you are driving. Just like beer is legal, unless you are driving. Being behind a steering wheel while being intoxicated is illegal is every country I thought?
