I brought up a few of the points raised in this video when the mentioned article was posted on Lemmy a week ago.
Why is the CBC pushing billionaire talking points? It's honestly shameful and incredibly lacking in self-awareness.
I mean it's just blatantly obvious who is in charge of this country
I mean, I it's probably more mundane than you'd imagine. If I had to speculate, the author, Mr. Gollom, probably just got a free trip and fancy meal curtesy of the Frasier institute, or maybe he owed someone a favour.
Either way, it's not a good look for the CBC to be so blasé writing about privatising other crown corporations.
Poilievre?
If The CBC doesn't get in line with the conservatives now they are gone next year.
Canadaland had an interesting take on it. Apparently the union PR wasn't saying anything interesting or providing decent background. Since there are virtually no labour reporters anymore, the coverage is by people who don't know the issues or context, who used the better PR from the corporation (I'm extrapolating this bit).
