SMALL STUDIO WITH BATHTUB IN KITCHEN -(THERE IS A BATHTUB IN THE KITCHEN)

Just so you’re aware: THERE’S A BATHTUB IN THE KITCHEN

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Is this an ad or a call for help?

A 4th floor walk-up studio for $1900 a month…

Maybe it's a really, really deep basin for washing all the dishes we put off.

wash the dishes while you wash your bits. that's a time saver right there.

4 Flights Up In a WALK UP Building SMALL STUDIO WITH BATHTUB IN KITCHEN -(THERE IS A BATHTUB IN THE KITCHEN) 3 FLIGHTS UP IN A WALK UP BUILDING.

I kept reading hoping we'd get to "2 FLIGHTS IN A WALK UP BUILDING" and then 1 flight.

Reminds me of when I was using that site. Guy had a 2 BR 1 bath up and I drove by to go look at it. There was already someone living in it who had just signed a lease the week before. Gotta love scammers

I like how the agent has mentioned it as if it were a highly desirable feature, reiterates it, then includes a great many photographs of the bathtub in the kitchen.

So good they mentioned it twice!

I think they don't want to waste time showing the apartment to prospective renters that aren't paying enough attention to the listing only for them to walk in, say " bathtub in the kitchen? No thanks."

A lot of dishes fit in there

You get to live walking distance to the tenement museum

This location though - in Little Italy, walking distance from all the trains, for under $2k... It's honestly tempting.

I rent a 3-storey house on 2 acres of land with a barn and 2 sheds for 1/3 of that price.
And I'm pretty sure one of my sheds is larger than that studio.

Eh, it depends on priorities. I can tell you that studio is within two minutes walking of about half a dozen different ethnicities for cuisines (many of them cheap and excellent), spread over more dining establishments than are within 50 miles of you. It's also about 20 minutes travel time to world class theater and museums.

There's no cheap food in Manhattan.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Obviously I don't live in NYC.
But I live in a metropolitan area with 2.4 million people and can reach one of Germany's most prestigious theaters (which is older than the United States) in 30 minutes.
It's big enough for me.

So after looking at this apartment, I scrolled down… and there was another studio apartment that had already been rented in the same building… that ALSO has a bathtub in the kitchen. I’m sensing a pattern here… hehe

1900 a month?! Are these people on drugs?!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

The LES/Chinatown pretty expensive overall. 1900 is market rate.

Wash the pots and your arse crack at the same time, Steptoe style.

Some people are way too into their shower beers. You really don't need to move the tub next to the fridge. Time to stage an intervention.
