Wales too, it just hasn't gotten very far away yet. Still bridges to Cornwall I guess...

It really bothers me that green is used for Wales instead of Ireland.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago

England should be white, Wales should be red and Ireland should be green. Only Scotland was coloured correctly.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Ireland needs to be orange

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

It was the biggest mixup that you have ever seen.

My father, he was orange and me mother, she was green.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

We’re talking Northern Ireland as opposed to Ireland, although they do both exist on the island of Ireland. There’s no orange or green on the flag of Northern Ireland.

England's fashion sense seems to have gone up after wearing the nice red boot

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago

Ah, a good laid out map. Now things are starting to make sense, more later.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago (8 children)

I just call the whole thing "England". They've stolen and lost so much land over the years that it's impossible to keep track of where the borders are. If my ignorance of their petty land disputes offends them then maybe they shouldn't be arrogant cunts who rape cultures and denigrate the victims for centuries. We'd have more respect for you if you had more respect for us. Fuck em.

That sounds like a good way to end up with a broken pint glass in your face in Edinburgh, Belfast or Cardiff.

Or London if you say that to someone with a similarly negative view of colonialism (most people)

Don't generalise people from the UK like that, you only stoop to the same level as the colonialists by doing that

[–] [email protected] 11 points 5 months ago (8 children)

Why would I spend any time in a country that hasn't walked on the moon?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 5 months ago

I don't know, ask Joe Rogan.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Stay there and be quiet then.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (2 children)

I am here. I'm not the one calling other people's countries "the colonies". You be quiet.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago

I am Canadian, and I don't call sovereign nations "colonies".

Get your head straight yank. You really don't have a leg to stand on muppet.

Shut up, sit down, the adults are talking.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (6 children)

No one in the uk calls other countries "the colonies". If someone has said that to you it was to piss you off and it clearly worked.

If we’re being pedantic (as you are below) … I’m not sure any COUNTRY has ever walked on the moon.

Sardinia looks so lonely without Corsica.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Ahhh, I see... That makes sense.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago (2 children)

This implies Padua is Edinburgh and Venice is Leith.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Venice is Leith.

Getting all the locals priced out due to rich people pushing up housing prices?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That's basically what Venice is.

Malta is the Isle of Man

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

As a stereotypical American, I thought Corsica was Northern Ireland and Sardinia was Ireland. Thanks for clearing up my confusion.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

Looked twice before I noticed, life was better then

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Where's South Ireland though

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 months ago

South Ireland? Let’s not reignite The Troubles with talk like that.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

Corsica, except Corsica is a French department
