Not for commerce transport or hire

Hires a commercial transport.

Also, i can't believe they didn't care about the travel binder! I kept one of those when I was visiting different states. I'd be a little miffed if I showed it to someone and they didn't care. So I understand.

He should have bought a travel Trapper Keeper. The cop would have been impressed with the sweet artwork.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

You need the Dawson's Creek Trapper Keeper if you wanna get out of shit.

This is what outraged me the most. How can they ignore the travel binder! SovCit should absolutely sue the entire state for a bajillion dollars. They for sure have a rock solid case if LE didn't even look at their binder!

Maybe SovCit didn't make the correct magical invocation with the secret intonation? But still... It was in a binder for chrissakes. That alone makes it official!

My bad! You're right!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

More shocked about how he forgot to cancel with the DMV. Doesn't he know that the first thing you're supposed to do. No wonder they didn't care about his binder.

This one may even be worse than normal. That fake sovcit plate says "US DOT" and has the Federal Department of Transportation logo on their fake plate.

Could this sovcit be charged with impersonating a federal official?

source 1

source 2

"The impersonation must be of a federal officer (see Massengale v. United States, 240 F.2d 781, 782 (6th Cir. 1957)), and may be affected by verbal declarations as well as by the exhibition of a counterfeited badge or a false certificate of authority."

[–] [email protected] 24 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Furthermore, it completely defeats the purpose of sovereigns citizenry. Aren't they supposed to not recognize the government's authority ? If their plate was issued by the DOT, it means they entered a contract with them. Or something like that, not 100% sure about the (lack of) logic here.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

SovCits are not anarchists. They are pick and choose fans of government. Which is obvious, right? All the talk about contracts and private travelers or whatever, that doesn't mean shit if there's no government at all.

Does the US DOT really use the Klingon insignia? Or something looking erringly similar that is?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Well I eered in writing that then

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

it looks nothing like the Klingon insignia unless you count “some amalgamation of shapes” in your definition of “erringly” similar.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Nah I don't think that's what they're going for.

Commercial vehicles are (most of the time) required to have and display a DOT number. This is normally placed on the sides of the vehicle with "US DOT" above the numbers. These are usually seen on heavy/larger vehicles but there are instances where even a sedan might need one.

It's not the first time I've seen sovcits trying to use a DOT number on their car.... But ironically by doing so they're basically saying it IS a commercial vehicle. I don't pretend to understand the logic.

Although this fool put it on the license plate, which is not where that goes. Has to be on the sides although they really didn't have business with a DOT number at all so I guess that's the least of their worries.

Actually these numbers are able to be looked up on the DOT website and looking this one up I think I understand why they're doing it. (Also it gave me this dude's full address and phone.....)

They can mark themselves as a carrier of "Private property" and "Private Passenger (Non-business)" neither of which means what they think in this context but makes them feel like their kookery is official.

nah dot numbers are just to say "I have registered this truck" basically, usually for auditing and transparency purposes - its just a law like needing permission to dig, or build, or sell real estate...

If you have a realtor license, you're not allowed to break into someone's house

If you have a dot number you're not allowed to drive without registered plates and a license

Travel binder 😆 has a passport though

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago

So for the passport, they don't believe the state has jurisdiction over them. The passport is a federal identification. Which is "ok" in their mind. The drivers license is state issued meaning to them they don't need it.

Copying a reply I made to someone else in this page cause it's relevant:

Department of transportation

Not for transport

???

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Department of Not Transportation

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago (2 children)

How is someone driving themselves somewhere not "transport"? I guess they can have fun just looking at it in the impoundment lot now.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

My mom was one of these people. They think that free travel is a universal right, which gives them the right to drive without a license, but the "fake" government uses the word "transport" specifically to say that they aren't traveling, and force them to follow their laws. These types get very caught up in specifics of words; they also think spelling their name in all caps is completely different from spelling it normally, and can be used to"enslave" you, though I forget which one they think is bad.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago

They say it's travelling because they have the natural right to travel for some reason.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

We're they the driver of an Uber? That's obviously engaging in commerce.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Their car got towed and they are getting home in with a ride share.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago

Oh, that makes sense. Thank you, citizen.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They didn't care about the travel binder? Not even with all the Lisa Frank stickers on it?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I just don't know how any cop could not respect the travel binder.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I usually have empathy for people with mental issues, but this sovcit nonsense annoys the hell out of me. I have no patience for this crap.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

I don't think it's mental illness so much as weaponized disinformation gone wrong.
