Someone's afraid of no one coming to his party

[–] [email protected] 51 points 2 months ago (1 children)

can't have those sad comparison shots of his crowds if there isn't one this time.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 2 months ago

Will Luigi be there?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 2 months ago

Yup. Can't compare pictures when the venue is different.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

The people who show up probably hate him so he wussed out

Shame, would have been the perfect day for another attempt

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

I live in Louisana and personally know at least 5 people who have traveled to DC specifically for the inauguration. He might not have enough people to sate his appetite but there's going to be quite a few people there.

[–] [email protected] 57 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Probably an excuse for security reasons. If I were them I'd be worried about Luigis.

[–] [email protected] 34 points 2 months ago

Hopefully everyday for the rest of their lives.

May that period be brief.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He's afraid next time that person won't miss.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He can't handle cold temperatures because he's a frail old man.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

With frail old ideas

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Dang, when I heard the weather report I was hoping for pneumonia.

Hoping for another Wm. Henry Harrison?

When Harrison came to Washington, he wanted to show that he was still the steadfast hero of Tippecanoe.... He took the oath of office on Thursday, March 4, 1841, a cold and wet day.[104] He braved the chilly weather and chose not to wear an overcoat or a hat, rode on horseback to the grand ceremony, and then delivered the longest inaugural address in American history

In the evening of Saturday, April 3, Harrison developed severe diarrhea and became delirious, and at 8:30 p.m. he uttered his last words....

The prevailing theory at the time was that his illness had been caused by the bad weather at his inauguration three weeks earlier.

Things one learns in high school.

If trump got delirium and had uncontrollable diarrhea how would we tell the difference?

This year, the temperature on Inauguration Day at noon — when the president-elect swears in — is expected to be in the low 20s, which is around 20 degrees below normal — likely the coldest since Reagan’s second inauguration.

Winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph are likely Monday. These winds will make conditions feel frigid. Wind chills are likely to hover around 10 degrees during the daylight hours and could drop into the single digits after sundown.

A mix of rain and snow is possible Sunday ahead of the main event, but Monday so far looks to be cold and windy, but dry.

It gets colder than that on NYE in Times Square all the time. But then I guess some snowflakes are afraid of snowflakes.

Obama's inauguration had the coldest conditions since Reagan's and he still had a massive crowd. Trump is a pathetic little coward who's scared to death of a small crowd size and everyone making fun of him by doing that gesture Obama made in his convention speech.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

He's really old and in bad shape. He probably can't handle a temperature of 12f for very long.

The MAGA train can march, ride or crowd together in the hot weather but can't stand a bit of cold?

These are the kind of people that would shoot rounds at the sky to try to get it to warm up

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 months ago

Dammit I wanted him to take the William Henry Harrison challenge.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He's old. He probably can't handle 12F for very long without looking and sounding really bad. Fascism can't work if people see the leader as a doddering old man

According to Accuweather it's going to be -5°C on Monday in Washington DC

Which isn't even that cold LMAO

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

I get it, you're tougher than everyone here who thinks standing around in cloudy 20 degree weather for hours is unpleasant.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

i mean I've lived in the Midwest since the 90s and i would say anything under 20°F is pretty unpleasant lol

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

20⁰F is -7⁰C

Edit: it was even colder when Reagan was inaugurated in 85, -32⁰C wind-chill. Two of the worst presidents in history forced to hold the inauguration in private.

And not a single peep about climate change.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 months ago

Oh just wait. "It's so cold out, we had to go inside! Climate change is a hoax!"

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago

Someone should tell him how cold it is in Greenland.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

Oh he's not afraid of the cold

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago (3 children)

That will stop getting shot.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Some Presidents got shot and still stayed for their speech. What a loser.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Bull moose.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

Are we sure? Did anyone search Vance's pockets?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Yeah, and the Capitol subway probably has loads of security. Can't have a new Guy Fawkes Day in January.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

I'm imagining a frozen soiled diaper

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Afraid of his supporters too, I reckon. 🤯

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Seriously, diaper boy's loser squad are such psychos that it's still them with the assassination attempts, even when it's their guy.

I wish him lots of quality time with his friends.

Kind of funny that a large part of it will be at the Capital One Arena.
