I've seen this group before, C4TF, but they dont even have a wikipedia article and they don't support any candidates. Are they just confused about how representative democracy works?

Perhaps they don't support candidates because they seek to remain ~~apolitical~~ nonpartisan?
There is nothing apolitical about the legislative process of tax reform and measuring it's outcomes.
They obviously meant nonpartisan.
It might make a difference as to whether a group can obtain status as a charitable organization or not (edit: Not supporting any candidates, that is. I can't comment on the lack of a Wiki - that seems like it'd be a good thing)
