Yep, this is where we're at, making up clearly bullshit justifications for anyone and everyone. They will use and every justification. They literally just claimed in court that Venezuelans without a criminal record were more dangerous and criminal than those with a criminal record.
Under this, former President Bush could be considered a gang member. It's fucking stupid and so obviously bullshit.
He's still a war criminal, so maybe he should be deported to Iraq or Afghanistan.
I'll say it a thousand times: Democrats being unwilling to prosecute War Crimes is why they never had the balls to bring Trump to justice for far less worse than War Crimes.

Back in the day, it was sports teams, just about any team could be justified as "gang affiliated" and they used it as an excuse to hassle minorities.

Every law that is about "gangs" is tailored to harass minorities. Its horrifying how these "gang laws" have been applied in the past, not limited to the shithead racist cops, but also the shithead racist prosecutors and shithead racist judges.
Not even laws, just policies... "Oh, if you see someone in a Chicago Bulls hat that means they're in x gang."
Yup. At the high school I attended, if you were black or brown you could only wear black or white shirts, because any color was a gang color (nevermind the gangs in town wore red and blue).

Why were they sent to El Salvador?
Under Trump’s deal, El Salvador will detain the deported individuals for one year in CECOT, the largest and most restrictive prison in the country.
The prison, which can hold up to 40,000 inmates, was designed to house El Salvador’s most dangerous gang members.
The decision to send the immigrants to a foreign prison system instead of their home country is unusual and highly controversial. Critics argue that deportees should be sent back to Venezuela rather than to a country where they have no legal ties.
