You know things are going awfully for America when the general public starts to support positions that was once only exclusively held by leftists.

I'm all for it though. Feels good to be able to publicly call the American government terrorists and bastards and now more people then not agree. Only took them threatening our existence as a country to get here!

Liberals are still extremely propagandised and will defend mass surveillance in the same breath as calling the US government fascist.

Like, you agree that our warnings were completely accurate — you're handing over a surveillance apparatus to fascism, 1000x more powerful than anything the Gestapo or KGB ever had — yet you still defend its construction as a necessity? The cognitive dissonance required to hold those contradictions simultaneously is deafening, and en par with MAGA levels of mental illness. You can't defend democracy or freedom while constructing an extra-judicial secret police and tools of fascist oppression...

So you're telling me.... spending 20 years fighting amorphous vague enemies all around the world without any end objective or real goals, hasn't worked?

You're telling me all these APC's, Drones and Helicopters Obama gave to every police department with more then 5 men in it, may actually be used? The information collected by the NSA, nonstop for the last 20 years? All the students their kidnapping? All of those ICE detention centers being turned into...concentration camps?

They'd actually pull the trigger? You're saying that?

Well shit mother fucker, i might just belive you.

In my letters to places, recently, regarding this topic I compared the potential of US hardware to that of John Deere, Apple, or Xerox. It does not mater if you have bought the hardware they still have control over most of it.

I would not include "a pause in officer exchanges" among the helpful means to push back. If we start disentangling ourselves culturally, it'll be the death knell of any civilian resistance to outright war.

cease our participation in NORAD’s missile defence program.

where most sites are in Canada, remove US personel.

Canadian minds are integrated with US politicians determination of US enemies as our own. Much propaganda and disinformation to accomplish that. Beyond decoupling from US military, having good enough relations with China that they don't tariff us too is good for Canada. War on Russia is not profitable.
