If you like space science, please write to your congressman to save NASA and science funding: https://www.planetary.org/advocacy-action-center#/53

What for? Some're still milking 9/11 a decade+ after a blue ribbon heifer'd be dead from it. Pick your pointless yarp and preach it. No one gets out alive, so get to livin', friend. 😜

I do remember back when it was called Planet X. It had more intrigue.

Don't cry, Pluto, I'm not a planet either.

This new "planet", more than anything I've yet heard in my lifetime, convinces me that life is fundamentally not fair. :-P

His calculations suggested the body would be on a much greater tilt than the solar system’s plane and would orbit in a different direction from the known planets.

So almost certainly not a planet. But it sounds like it's something.

There's no reason a planet couldn't have a very high inclination.

Yep, but it hasn't been observed in our star system and everything we have observed so far implies it to be very unlikely. It would be very exciting if it were so; it'd immediately become my new fav planet.

In other words, a retrograde orbit.
