Since there's no pizza morals in this thread, I once made a 'Hawaiian' pie at home where I swapped out the pineapple for kiwi. Fun fact: I'm going to hell.

italy wants to access your location

I am christening that monstrosity a Wellington, both in honour of the kiwi capital and because I would rather eat a Wellington boot than that. Congratulations!

WaWa gave me a free sample of a slice of pickle ranch pizza. I came back hours later and bought a whole box and they were like, "we got you, huh?"

My Kroger sells these.

Which sauce did you get?

As a pickle enjoyer, I'm thrilled for the popularity pickles have been getting recently. However, I worry that we may be coming close to crossing a line.

Since deep-fried pickles are a (delicious) thing, I bet this is better than it looks. Warm salty dough meets juicy tangy pickle, then the cheese bridges the textures and provides a savory background. I'm converted.

I order a pickle, pineapple, onion and olive pizza all the time it’s fucking amazing.

There’s a style of pizza in Massachusetts called South Shore bar pizza. It’s made by something like 20 different bars and restaurants in the southeastern part of the state, and everyone swears by their own favorite spot. It being Massachusetts, nobody agrees about which one is the champion. Anyway, pickle is an OG South Shore bar pizza topping. It is excellent.

lol. Look at us doing the MA thing.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Good thing is, MA, is better at many things!

I love pizza with banana pepper rings. Not that different than pickles.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago

The best. Try it with lots of arugula heaped on top. My go to is pepperoni & mushroom pizza with arugula and banana pepper rings thrown atop each slice.

For over 20 years my favourite pizza has been plain cheese with cold cucumber slices on top. Warm and gooey + cold and crunchy.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago

That sounds good too

Think the flavor could work, but the texture of a pickle pizza might trigger a gag reflex.

Though I will give that a try.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 5 days ago

Id give it a go

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

This is just a hamburger minus the patty. I'm sure it's delicious.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

Get some crumbled ground beef and toss it on that sumbich.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago

Picked jalapeno is fantastic on pizza, pickled onion also good, I'd try it.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

I once had a slice of a detroit style pizza with pickles on sour dough bread drizzled with mustard.

I like a nice cheeseburger pizza with pickles in it. Not sure why the place that makes the cheeseburger pizza doesn't automatically include pickles, but they're always willing to put them on when I ask. Yes my cholesterol is abhorrent.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago

+1 for cheeseburger pizza. Luckily my first order included the pickles, because I wouldn't have thought to ask. I like pickles for the same reason i like pineapple on pizza, it adds a crunchy/juicy texture that keeps the pizza from feeling too heavy. I also love vinegar, so that's a bonus.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Unfortunately my first order didn't have any, but the second I was like, "Husband maybe ask if they can put pickles on it? Cause they sell burger burgers, they have pickles" and he was like "I don't knoooow maybe they don't" but he asked and they did and it's marvelous! But I adoooore pickles. I'm going to grow canning pickles next year just to make my own!

You gave me an idea for Sauerkraut pizza, with onions and sausage. Maybe an egg too.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Sauerkraut, smoked sausage, onion, a bit of sharp cheddar, and a drizzle of franks red hot is honestly a god-tier pizza.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago

Why didn't they finish cooking it

[-] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

They couldn't resist and wait any longer

[-] [email protected] 1 points 5 days ago

Hard to find a balance with toppings with such high water contents.

If you show up in Chicago I will personally drag you to the West Side, shatter your ankle, and then leave.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Just for you next time I'm in Chicago, I'm going to order a pickle Chicago deep dish pizza

[-] [email protected] 2 points 5 days ago

Pickles on pizza aren't bad. But you have to have some sausage and onions besides that.

Had free pizza for a lunch and learn at work the other day that had chicken, jalapeño, pickle and ranch on it. It was surprisingly not bad, though a bit salty.

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.
