Yeah they complain when they're censored, but love when they're the ones censoring. Just try and say "free speech is good" literally anywhere on lemmy, you'll be called a nazi. Same goes for most sites for most political leanings, even many that do claim they like free speech, post something anathema to their hivemind and you very well may be banned.

Very few actually want free speech, because it includes speech they think is bad and almost universally they think that should be shunned to make them more comfortable, that goes for tankies and nazis and everyone in between.

I've still never seen anyone claim them to be free speech advocates, especially not anyone that runs those instances. I have seen the users complain about being censored elsewhere though, to be fair, you're definitely right about that.

Who said it was censorship free? They're very pro censorship, in fact most people are, actually.

You do in the right circumstances...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

I'll take a half.

Hey dingus, it's not complaining about you, it's about being sad for you that you'll never experience that level of innovation since companies are all "minecraft fortnite skyrim again" and nothing else.

No, he didn't say "I joined a CP discord group," he said it was a discord group. To use your subreddit analogy, if you join a subreddit called like r/gaming or some shit where they post about games, and someone posts CP anytime after the date you joined, you should be banned even if you didn't open the app that day.

I'm not giving you the benefit of the doubt either, for all I know you're on c/CP which I didn't know existed, and I could be banned for arguing you here. Maybe I should block/report you just to be safe, hmm? Idfk what comms exist on Lenis . org or whatever your server is, sounds sketch tbh..

This is what I do as well. A few services force 2fa though and also have 0 good options (let me use my flipper as a u2f through not chrome, ungoogled-chromium works, but damn), and for those I'm forced to use text.

While I'm here, anyone have a good chrome based browser that is private and can use serial ports for flashing meshtastic devices and u2f? Need android mainly because I have ungoogled-chromium on linux, but will take recs for linux too if there's a better one.

So, if anyone in this thread ever posts CP elsewhere on lemmy, or even here in this thread now that you're already here, you think your acct should be wholly banned from lemmy because you are who you associate with?

If the gauge is soups and friuits V dry then sure, but it should be juicy and moist inside (I'd say enough so that it can be eaten sauceless if you wanted). The inclusion of sauce is not necessarily indicative of dryness, they're also used for flavor.

That said, seems you're pretty close from this description, and yes the "sauce" here would be the syrup. And buttermilk is great too, didn't notice the type they used but you can do either no problem!

New list is up! Some good stuff this week.

Minor Arcana #5 - A woman moves back to her hometown when her mother gets sick, and she has to run the family psychic busines she thinks is bullshit. Only, she discovers there may be much more to it than meets the third eye (pun intended) when she has visions of her own. Written and drawn by Jeff Lemire who did Fishflies, also great.

From The World Of Minor Threats The Brood #2 - Minor Threats seems to be delivering again as usual, these books are good.

Shadow Of The Golden Crane #1 - I don't know anything about it but it looks neat.

Space Ghost #9 - Still following SG but I'm behind on it.

I Hate Fairyland #19 - Gert fucking shit up as usual, plays on my Happy Tree Friends nostalgia and has a better story, what's not to love?

Moon Is Following Us #5 - The fight to get their daughter back seems to grow tougher by the issue, but then if it didn't it wouldn't be much of a comic I guess now would it?

Well looks like that's it for me, what's on your pull lists this week?

New list is up! Looks like I'm back to it this week after a couple weeks of not much for me.

Blood Brothers Mother #3 - I've really been enjoying DSTLRY's stuff, this is no exception. I also happen to like westerns, so this one is a must get.

Geiger #10 - Not gonna lie I'm behind, but I'll catch up!

Lucky Devils #1 - This looks interesting, I'll check it out. Two demons stage a revolution in hell and are using two humans to do it (somehow.)

Cruel Kingdom #1 - Cruel Univer- I mean Cruel Kingdom is the new EC Fantasy reboot. I'm going to buy it just so EC can afford a thesaurus! (I was getting it anyway but c'mon surely there are other adjectives out there lol.)

That's it for me! What're you getting this week?

New list is up! Short list for me this week, looks like just one.

When I Lay My Vengeance Upon Thee #1 - This looks like it could be interesting, maybe I'll pick it up, but this seems to be the only enticing thing this week, I might just skip!

That's it lol. What're you getting this week?

Short one for me this week,

Black Hammer Spiral City #2 - Black Hammer is pretty good, I need to pick up all the back issues. One of the few superhero things I like.

From The World Of Minor Threats Barfly #4 - Last of Barfly's saga so far. Good luck Shiteater, we love you! The Brood (the next Minor Threats series) is shaping up to be pretty good so far too.

Groo Minstrel Melodies #4 - My shop missed #3 I think.

Freddie The Fix #1 - One shot, looks interesting.

Moon Is Following Us #4 - Been a good series so far! Parents have to enter their kid's dreams to save her consciousness and wake her up.

Sacrificers #13 - Man, even as a god of vengeance, Pigeon has it rough.

That's it for me, what're you grabbing this week?

Some good stuff for me this week

Toxic Avenger #3 - Actually been digging this series, I bought the first one just to read the "Message from Uncle Lloyd" but it ended up being (while updated and different) pretty faithful to the spirit of the OG.

In Bloom #1 - Art looks good, book looks creepy, will prob give it a shot.

Minor Arcana #4 - Unfortunately due to a damaged shipment I've had to wait for #3, hopefully I can get both this week.

From The World Of Minor Threats The Brood #1 - Ayyy more Minor Threats? Hell yeah! I'm in! The last one Barfly (still great, #4 out next week) wasn't written by Patton Oswalt (the hilarious comedian/actor) and Jordan Blum but this one is and I'm excited. If you've been sleeping on Minor Threats, check out all of them. (Minor Threats, The Alternates, MT: Fastest Way Down, Barfly, and now The Brood)

Batman Dark Patterns #1 - Maybe, I've been buying too many comics and need to cut back a bit.

Space Ghost #8 - Space Ghoooost.

Creepshow 2024 Holiday Special - Never missed a Creepshow and I'm not starting now.

Shiver SuspenStories #1 - Gotta give it a shot!

That's it for me, what are you pulling?

Short list for me this week which I don't mind because I still have to pick up last weeks!

Dread The Halls #1 - Yesssss! Bring the Halloween to Christmas! Too long has Christmas encroached on spooky territory, now we fight back!

I Hate Fairyland #18 - I love I Hate Fairyland.

Cruel Universe #5 - Cruel Universe is my favorite of these reboots so far for sure

That's it for me! Wha're you pulling this week?

New list is up, let's see here..

The Serpent in the Garden: Ed Grey and the Last Battle for England #1 - I like Hellboy and all I know is that this is in that universe, so I'll pick it up.

Creepshow Volume 3 #3 - Creepshoooooowwww!

Falling In Love On The Path To Hell #6 - Falling in love with this series is more like it.

Hyde Street #2 - I think this might shape up to be my favorite Ghost Machine title, only time can tell!

Whew looks like they went light on me this week, thankfully! Real excited about all of these though! What're you pulling this week?

List is up! Big one for me this week!

Groo Minstrel Melodies #3 - I see Sergio, I buy Sergio. This was delayed last week I think (at my shop anyway) so I hope.I see it this week.

Minor Arcana #3 - Loving this series so far!

Convert #4 - End of the road for this one, interesting story for sure and I like the colors.

Geiger #8 - Still Following this one.

Ice Cream Man #42 - This series is kinda the whole reason I am into comics, started out collecting this one and branched out from there. Before I saw this I'd only seen like superhero stuff which I couldn't get into (I tried), had read Watchmen and V for Vendetta (Loved em), and some Deadpool (liked em lol) but that was it.

Moon Is Following Us #3 - Liking this series so far, #1 was a hook, #2 gives a few answers and gives even more questions, I'm along for the ride.

Epitaphs From The Abyss #5 - This one is...alright. I debate dropping it each time because I favor Creepshow and even Cruel Science, one day that'll happen, maybe today, who knows.

Whew! What're you pulling?

List is up! Let's see, I'll be grabbing:

Toxic Avenger #2 - I was skeptical this would be a cheap imitation/just cashing in on the name, but the cover said "A message from Uncle Lloyd" and I wanted to read that alone, so I picked it up (#1). It was actually pretty good as far as a modern retelling goes, nothing will beat the OG but I will finish this out.

Black Hammer Spiral City #1 - I've only read some Black Hammer but I want to hunt down the rest, it was good!

Groo Minstrel Melodies #3 - I see Sergio, I buy Sergio.

Helen Of Wyndhorn #6 - End of the road, this series has been pretty good, I'm hoping for a spinoff/sequel that shows more of the magical world or Helen (or anyone's) adventures there.

Life #3 - This series is alright so far, two different perspectives in one book.

Time Waits #2 - Ngl I have to read #1 still before I pull the trigger, but I'll do it today.

Space Ghost #7 - Space Ghooooost!

That's it for me, what're you pulling this week?

5
Night of the Living Cat (www.penguinrandomhouse.com)

Not usually a manga guy but the one I read just recently dropped chapter 5 in english. It's exactly what you think, zombie parody but the zombies are adorable kitties and hard to resist, but if you snuggle one you become a cat yourself!

I even got sick of zombie stuff in like 2008, but the two exceptions are this here manga and a live action Japanese film that will go unnamed. Both are just so funny they get a pass.

New list is up!

FML #1 - "Genre bending," "Metal kids," "apocalypse." Alrighty then, I'll check it out.

One For Sorrow #1 - DSTLRY is an easy sell to me, and this looks pretty neat. 1900 london, criminals getting murdered by a mysterious figure dubbed The Magpie due to the feathers left on corpses.

I Hate Fairyland #17 - Aww shit, Happy's back.

Sacrificers #12 - Sacrificers rules!

Cruel Universe #4 - I'm one behind on this actually but I'll keep it going.

That's it for me, what's on your list?

New list is up! Sorry I'm a day later than usual lol, busy week so far already!

Batman The Long Halloween The Last Halloween #2 - Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na BAT-MAN!

It Happened On Hyde Street Devour #1 - The only horror book that looks good to me coming out this week, a day before Halloween no less. Seems they all came out last week lol. Hyde St #1 was great though, so I'm sold. Sad state of affairs. At least Creepshow Vol 3 is underway!

Come Find Me an Autumnal Offering - Looks interesting.

Deadpool Team-Up #3 - Deadpool & Dragons has been ok so far.

That's it for me this week, real light one! What's on your pull lists?
