Yeah it was surprisingly easy. I'll probably pick up a few more of their designs.

3D printing has given me the ability to engage in my decades long foam blaster hobby in a completely new way. So glad to see how accessible it is now.

Put together the Replicant by Leedle Dynamics.

I was curious to see how the low hardware approach would work. Beyond a short piece of bungee cord, there is zero hardware required. Everything down to the pins holding it together is printed.

Print was easy. But I printed it at half speed because I was afraid of the overhangs on the main body (the purple part in the photo). No supports needed and everything was pre-oriented. Assembly took less than 30 minutes, and would probably would have gone a lot faster if I had taken the time to watch the video beforehand.

The prime is surprisingly smooth once you lube it and break it in. Reloading takes some practice. I wish they had gone for an 8 round cylinder instead of 6, but it's not a deal breaker. It's hitting about 85-90 FPS with a 3/16" cord. I'm sure I could tie it a bit tighter and squeak out a few more FPS if I wanted to fiddle with it. Accuracy isnt super consistent with my new worker darts, but you're probably not printing this to win any contests. It's just a really satisfying prime and trigger pull.

Overall, the Replicant is a really nice change of pace from all of the printable springer primaries floating around out there. The files aren't free, but the cost felt fair and approachable given the lack of hardware. Will definitely be printing other Leedle Dynamics designs in the near future.

I'm thinking of organizing an informal meet-up for Nerf and foam dart blaster enthusiasts in my local community, but I'm not really sure what things people might enjoy.

I'm going to run a survey across a few local channels, but figured I would ask here to see what people in general would want to see at an event like this.

  • Blaster Show & Tell (bring your favorite blaster to share)
  • Chatting about collecting vintage or rare blasters
  • Target shooting/skill challenges
  • Trading/buying/selling blasters, parts and accessories
  • Modding workshop/discussions
  • Casual free-for-all Nerf battles
  • Team-based game modes (Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, etc.)
  • Just hanging out and talking about the hobby

I'm inclined to save the actual battle games for a separate event since those have specific space and safety requirements, but open to it if there's enough interest in playing.

Do any of you go to events like this in your own area? Would you? What's the turnout look like?

I've started putting Everything Seasoning on almost everything I eat. I mix it into mayo for sandwiches, throw it on burgers on the grill, sprinkle it on chicken in the pan. Try it.

I still eat this. It's far superior IMO

3D printable mag in grip hand cannon. Hits around 190 FPS pretty consistently.

Doesn't matter what you read. Vote.

The same way we thought he would cost himself his own election, right? RIGHT???

Somewhat serious question: What would these people do for gloves?

I haven't read or seen LOTR. Everything I know about it has been pieced together from parodies and references in other media. The magic the gathering crossover set was probably the biggest exposure I've had.

I was taught it in school, have looked it up on Wikipedia, seen infographics, YouTube videos, etc., and yet I still do not know when to use those things. At this point I just refuse to purely out of fear.

Also Pi Approximation Day.

Now that Benchy's are off the market, what are your go to test models? I've seen Cali Cat and the torture toaster as examples.

Just want to see what everyone has been up to. This is my Nexus Pro X. Upgraded with a 3D printed collet and 300mm barrel. Used teflon tape to improve the seal. Also added a printed bcar.

Thinking about getting my first printer to print some organization stuff around the house, some nerf parts, as well as some small toys and fidget for friends/kids. The Bambu Lab A1 seems to be notable for being beginner friendly without a lot of fiddling.

Read recently about the lawsuit and I'm wondering if I should wait until that's resolved before pulling the trigger. I'm worried that some outcome there will eliminate important features or worst case make it obsolete entirely. Any thoughts?

Fess up. You know it was you.

I just mentioned this in a comment, but thought it might be helpful for a larger audience. I'm not affiliated with these people, but I would really really like a smaller Android phone. They also seem motivated to try and make something happen.

I was having a lot of trouble taking it down with random people online, but here's what worked for me in the end. I've been able to beat Mewtwo 3 times with random people with this build.

Mew @ Metronome
Ability: Synchronize
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature

  • Leech Life
  • Swords Dance
  • Misty Terrain
  • Mud-Slap

You'll still need a few Mews with Struggle Bug or Snarl to cover that gap. In general, I found that mud slap was proving to be more useful in keeping me alive than Light Screen because of the impacts to Mewtwo's accuracy while also charging the Tera orb.

3 mud slaps up front keeping and eye on your teammates health. If anyone is near half, heal cheer. Then 2-3 Swords Dance, terastalize, then start spamming Leech Life.

Mud slap and Swords Dance in response to Mewtwo nullifying effects.

The biggest challenge was keeping my teammates alive more than myself. Leech Life with 2-3 Swords dances will keep you alive easily. Make sure you keep an eye on your teammates health and heal cheer as needed, especially if no one is using life dew.

Edit: Forgot to mention why Misty Terrain is there. You'll need to use Misty Terrain right before you break his shield because he's going to use Rest right after the shield break and having Misty or Electrifying Terrain in place will prevent it from healing. In general, had a few cases where my teammates didn't appear to know that, but most people knew about the need for struggle bug, so I dropped struggle bug for Terrain
