You could use ` to make that URL an inline code block and thus not clickable. `like this` to look like this

Understand that many of these events are as much about the people attending them as they are about the media attention they get

It about building that resistance back up. Many of these places are the kind of deep red where you feel deeply alienated and alone if you're not MAGA

Going to a large crowd of people who are just as pissed off as you and right in your district is a massive boost to your resolve. You want to fight. Seperated you feel alone and powerless. Together you have strength

For anyone who is a US Citizen living abroad, here is one site some resources for how to vote abroad

https://usvotersabroad.org/

I should also note that with local & statewide elections, the next elections you can vote in may be sooner than you think. You don't have to wait for the midterms. There have been 61 elections since January across the US in just this year and many more scheduled. They typically get less attention but still have tons of impact

Call your senators (if dems) and keep the pressure up

Tell them to call for senate minority leadership to be replaced

Calling is just step one of building the pressure but it's a very easy place to get started

Yep, the local and state level are good part of how we fight back

It is worth noting that other types of materials are regularly recycled fairly well

For instance, paper and carboard (as long as it's without food grease) work well

Also worth noting that #1 and #2 plastics are usually recycled. #3 and above are typically not economically viable and thus not recycled. They have higher cost and produce lower quality plastics after recyling

There was a time when China had such high raw demand for plastics that they would recycle large amounts of the higher number plastics from other countries. They no longer do so

These distinctions are typically not expressed to people very well. In any case, recycling is supposed to be the thing that comes after trying to reduce waste and reuse waste. It's not a magical bullet, but it can help with the things you can't easily reduce or reuse. Somehow it became the focal point of everything and the other two got lost

Heaven forbid someone try to fight to make things better in a country

Forgot we're just supposed to all give up apparently

That will surely be the way things get better

Don't play into the defeatism that Musk and Trump want us all to have. They very much don't want people voting and things like this help them get that. The fight ain't over till it's over

If election didn't matter at all yet, why is Musk putting millions of dollars in ads for the Wisconsin Supreme Court race on April 1st?

There is no legal mechanism he could use to stop elections. Elections are run at state and local level including for federal office. This isn't something he can directly stop himself short of a straight up military coup

Elections are still ongoing right now. There were elections this last Tuesday, and there are plenty of important ones coming up
