Ice coffee sounds difficult to make. Do I have to roast the ice first? Should I go for a light roast or dark on it?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 months ago (5 children)

Instant coffee, water, milk, ice. Make coffee into paste with water in the cup, pour milk to the top, put in ice, stir not shaken

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I appreciate the answer (iced coffee is really popular here in Japan). I was mostly poking fun at how someone would make coffee out of ice (like ice tea -- isn't that just cold water steeped in other water?)

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I think I've heard of people making coffee and then freezing it into ice cubes to put in different things. You could totally make ice coffee too.

I'm not Bi, per se. But if Ryan Reynolds was game.... this might be about me too.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Armisted Maupin had this thing he talked about in his books at one point.

That every generation has one public figure that even straight boys can be gay for.

Now, at the time, he said that it had been Mick Jagger, and then Bruce Springsteen.

But today? Ryan Reynolds is absolutely the acceptable gay crush for straight guys.

I feel so seen

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Ah, yes. Heterosexuality.

We have dismissed this claim.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago

There are two kinds of bi people:

I'm not gay, but...

And:

Look how tall she is! And look how small he is!

Everything else is a variation of The Exception or Bisexual Panic.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

I'm all of these things except bisexual. At least I think so.

For some reason this particular profile of a person is very prevalent. The traits tend to occur together.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago (2 children)

If you try it, you’ll like it :)

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Good on you for trying!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

The only way I'll try it at this point is if my gf decides to stage a threesome, which, to put it mildly, is highly unlikely.

That being said, I feel very strongly about some of my close male friends. Maybe that is the spectre of homosex, I do not know.

I remembee seeing this years ago and being like damn thats really close but I don't match everything. Oh how the turn tables

I feel like half the people think they're former gifted childs or some other form of lazy geniuses

[–] [email protected] 20 points 6 months ago (2 children)

"Former gifted" just means some adults used to tell em they gonna make it big because they're special. And then in adulthood they struggle, either because they aren't actually gifted or the "gift" is just autism and nobody cares now that they're adults.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago

"you are so smart, just a bit lazy"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Nah it could mean precocious. I learned to read (like, read the newspaper) by 3 and tested with a ridiculous high IQ at 7 but as an adult I feel quite average, related better with adults as a child but relate well with adults as an adult too.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Why are you trying to normalize depressed kids?
