From the British TV show IT Crowd. I forget the exact scene but it is the father trying to convince his son he is in heaven and Hitler ruins it.

I'm sure he meant that Willy Brandt's memoirs were a better read.

Right?

British right wingers scoring cheap points against Germans but then getting all butthurt if you bring up, you know, things.

You sucking the shit out of the asshole of fascism is not a virtue. Neither is having a tantrum when I call it out..

You! Less reaction memes, more hacking the planet!.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Did you just claim that a sixteen word satirical headline stretched your patience? Lol

The joke isn’t even about Germany, it’s about Farage being a fascist

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (4 children)

It wasn’t the length of that was the problem, I was complaining about the poor construction.

Then again, I have standards. If you don’t, you do you.

Hostility towards any sign of intelligence is always the first step in the downfall of any society.

But, hey, at least you’ve got something to be proud of! Contribute into the downfall of society because you glorify ignorance? What a hero you are!

I see no problem with the structure of that sentence. Pretty absurd to claim that anyone that doesn’t share your sentiments has no standards, but you do you. Also, kind of ironic for you to crown yourself the king of intelligence when your first sentence isn’t even grammatically correct.

Blocked? Lmfao

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I just don't understand the mentality of telling someone you're blocking them either. If they're a troll, you're just going to make them feel smug about having pissed you off. If they're engaging in good faith, it makes you look like the asshole.

Like... What would they gain by telling you they're blocking you?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

I dunno. Honestly this whole chain is so bizarre I’m wondering if they’re ok.

Besides, if joking about fascism is so bad then why is Charlie Chaplin regularly credited with torpedoing Hitler’s mystique? I think it’s honestly a civic duty to mock authoritarians. Shit, any person in a position of power should be mocked to varying degrees

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Joking about fascism is bad because it hurts the fascists' feefees

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Someone has been sniffing their own farts. Don't worry, my block button works as well.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

How typical for the ignorant to attack what they don’t understand with childish insults.

Keep believing a lie. It’s clearly working very well for you.

How typical for the ignorant to attack what they don’t understand with childish insults.

Thank you for explaining why you started off with this:

You sucking the shit out of the asshole

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He says, while being hostile towards someone.

Sometimes, but not today.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Can you block me too? I’d hate having to read more hissy fits from such an insufferable ahole like you lmao

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

No one’s making you do anything. Exercise some self-control.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

No one’s making you do anything

Just like no one is forcing you to be an ahole, yet here we are ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Exercise and self-control

Said the user cussing out everyone in this thread lmao. The irony is as high as your lack of awareness

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Wow, you edited down paragraphs showing your absolute lack of sense of humor and subtlety to:

You sucking the shit out of the asshole of fascism is not a virtue. Neither is having a tantrum when I call it out.

That’s just cowardly. You can be wrong, sometimes. It’s ok, you know?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

“Standing up to oppression is cowardly”

Clearly, your brain has been washed and rinsed a few hundred times. I pity you.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago

You didn’t just eat the onion you squeezed the juice into your eyes. Did you read the article?

How about restoring your original comment and defending that?

I think you need to get off the Internet for a while.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago

You okay mate?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Oof, there are a few things you might wanna learn:

  • People have different tastes. What I find funny, you may not like it and vise versa.

  • Some people consider some things too serious to joke about. Some people don't. I am one of those people that say that there is nothing in this world, that cannot be joked about.

  • It is absolutely possible to take something serious and at the same time laugh about it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Tell yourself what you have to to excuse your enablement of fascism.

I feel sorry for you. But more sorry for the people who will be hurt because of your actions and decisions.

Don’t bother replying because I’ve blocked you
