Facebook though? In today's climate, Nemi would hate that. Well, secretly she'd be in too deep to delete it, but she'd really want to... which might actually be what's going on with the artist, come to think of it.

Nemi.no redirects to a Facebook page, so unfortunately it's like you say

Yeah and another asshole design example on Facebook:

Why leave a close "X" on the top right part of the modal, but without function. You can click as often as you like, the modal never closes.

I live in a rural area and, while there are a few local restaurants, almost all of the few that have a web presence have it exclusively on Facebook with their menus hidden behind this. Other sites have archived menus, but they're all outdated.

I don't order from most local restaurants.

Everytime you click it, you rub Mark Zuckerburg's nipples.

Yeah :( As @dunz said, I always try to find the original source but apparently Nemi's source is their Facebook. And thanks to fantastic Facebook design it's virtually impossible to find it there

Everything in Norway is very heavily tied to Facebook. It's exhausting. Actually everything is run by large companies generally.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I would say Norway sounds awful, but I live in America, and America is awful.

Earth is awful, guys! HOW is this the only choice for planets???

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Earth is a wonderful planet. We are the problem. Lofoten is largely considered one of the most beautiful places in the world, and its full of trash and human feces left by Instagram tourists. We are a broken species.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

I'm pretty sure that humans are the common denominator, not the planet lol

Except the one thing that Americans use it for, the marketplace.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

True but Schibsted owns finn.no so its not like you can escape large faceless corporations even then.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

It's not quite as faceless

Facebook is a curse from hell. Someone oughta convince this artist to move somewhere else.

OMFG one of the few things I can see there is a cartoon where she quotes Prince. This just gets better and better.

At least I can see a link to her bookselling page: https://www.gyldendal.no/skjoennlitteratur/tegneserier/serier/nemi/c-577563/

I feel personally attacked

As someone who tracks their calories and macros and all that shit, those little single serve packets for kids are a savior.

I still get to have pringles and chips, but theres an element of shame in going for multiple bags.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I once opened a bag of Lay’s, ate one chip, and put the rest away, just because I’m a contrarian.

I absolutely did. Swear to the potato gods and cross my heart.

You don't know me. I will absolutely shoot myself in the foot just to prove a point. 😜

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's entirely possible that they were engaging with the "contrarian" bit.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

And I'll fall for it every time.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If someone refers to you as contrarian and you consistently go along with it, doesn't that make you agreeable?

If you say "no" to this question, I think it supports my point, but I'm not sure anymore.

I just put on my rubber outfit and spray glue all over them.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Apparently I forget that I posted something within six minutes, because seeing this in my inbox was rather surprising until I remembered the context.

Am I a cat?

I shall tell you in another life when we are both cats

Behold the power of processed carbohydrate addiction!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

This one's out of left field but mine is Aldi's speculoos cookies man. I have to stock up during the holidays when they sell them. If I'm high I will go through an entire package in one sitting.

I live among the creatures of the night.
