Uh, I'd prefer if our militaries remained on friendly terms myself. Even if our politicians don't.
It's a mistake to hope/think "The CIA is really still on "our side", and surely they can JFK him to regain control, so that we can be a happy colony again". Just as GOP simps for Trump calling his extortion "negotiating tactics for fair trade", the CIA/military doesn't mind amplifying the sycophancy level, even if they understand the most effective method is the appearance of voluntary freedom to be their slave. Regardless of how sycophancy is won, leveraging that devotion is entirely done at the political leadership level.
Cutting off communication will not make things better.
If you don't like the rules, change them of leave the game. But do not break the rules. Do not become like him.
