Good thing he left Bluesky to go back to X, the free speech app.

The guy had the option to sell like $1 billion of his ownership stake in Twitter when Musk bought it, but instead left it in. He also supported the Musk takeover. Guy is a fool.

Despite everything, he’s a tech bro first.

[–] betternotbigger@lemmy.world 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No one remembers the brief stint to leap frog Web3 with Web5? I'm so tired of these tech bros.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 7 points 1 week ago

Ah, the old Winamp gambit.

[–] Fredthefishlord@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wait he owns that many shares and he still got banned?

[–] vga@sopuli.xyz 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

If that figure of $1 billion is correct, that's just 1/44 ownership. Hardly a portion that allows one to control anything operative.

X gonna give it to ya (it being a temporary suspension)

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

That's good but I'm concerned since I'm currently unable to pick it up on my own. Is this standing offer that I can take advantage of at a later date?

[–] Psaldorn@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Fuck waitin' for you t'get it on y'own X gon' delivery it to ya!

It being an authoritarian regime.

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Well that's convenient. We should probably plan the minor details out tho.

Things like

  1. my doorbell being broken due to a wiring issue. We should establish a plan to know of the arrival and confirm it's authentic.

  2. will he require down time after his arrival to rest before we discuss things? I could set up a room

  3. what should I expect him to bring so I can make sure space is available for his necessities?

Pic it up wuss. SMH, these cats done forgot what work is.

[–] europeanfan122@lemm.ee 57 points 1 week ago (2 children)

X might be the worst platform on the internet.

[–] 5parky@lemmy.world 36 points 1 week ago

With reddit eating X's ass on the highway to insignificance.

[–] Sixtyforce@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Basically 8chan but with advertisers for some reason.

The advertisers get bullied into advertising. Elmo sues any company that doesn't advertise on X.

Here is the archived link. If they're famous, archive it please. Rule 6

Glad he's not involved with BlueSky anymore. Reap what you sow, fuckwad.

[–] CancerMancer@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 week ago

100%. Everyone talks a lot of shit about Musk and how he runs X, but Dorsey was doing the dirty work of authoritarians before that and censoring people on Twitter constantly. A non-trivial amount of Twitter staff came right out of the alphabet agencies.

X is not special, the mask is just off now.

"Co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, Inc. from 2015 to 2021" for context

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 26 points 1 week ago

You may need to perform additional tasks to resume using X

"You know what to do. On your knees before Elon."

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What did he say that got him banned, does anyone know?

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 22 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Probably didn't personally thank Trum and Musk today or something.

[–] suite403@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

I bet he claimed to have founded Twitter. Can't be spreading propaganda on X after all.

Co-founder and former CEO of Twitter. So, kind of like: the chiX have come home to twit

The founder?

[–] LiveLM@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sidenote: what the hell is primal.net???

[–] Kirk@startrek.website 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Looks like a Nostr instance? Nostr is kinda like Mastodon but not using ActivityPub. To my knowledge Nostr is not blockchain related but it is exclusively used by cryptobros.

[–] FelixCress@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I understood mostly conjunctions and adverbs.

[–] Kirk@startrek.website 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

LOL as I was typing it I thought to myself "Ten years ago nobody alive would have any clue WTF this could possibly mean."

[–] FelixCress@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Warm welcome from the past.

"The X rules"

[–] Dramasquared@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

Pretty wild.

Jack Dorsey's name adds up to 666, and he sold the company to Elon Musk, who's name adds to 660. And 660 banned 666. Weird.

Anyone interested, you can look up the 666 calculator to check.
