Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

It was a nazi salute. Anyone with 2 brain cells knows that.

[–] [email protected] 47 points 13 hours ago

No it wasn't. It was two nazi salutes.

Checkmate liberals.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

The emphasis he used when doing it made it look a bit skewed, but considering the public stigma around the Nazi salute, it kinda makes it look like he finally had the courage to perform it in public after a long time of doing it at home infront of the mirror, the excitement of a moment he had waited for for decades was finally here and he had his now or never moment, so he put extra energy into the salute and made a weird face while saluting, and the media that understands the political game starts downplaying it immediately.

Disgusting.

"Looked a bit skewed"

No. No it didn't. It was a nazi salute. The first commenter had it right.

The only thing that saves that is him saying afterwards right away it's not what he meant and he's sorry if it were taken that way also nazis suck.

He didn't do that, it's a nazi salute.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 12 hours ago

You're both right. It was a Nazi salute, but it wasn't a crisp salute, it was rushed like an excited school boy and was sloppy and a bit skewed. Still 100% a Nazi salute and the meaning doesn't change based on how poorly he did it, just like everything else in his life.

On the images I have seen it looks like a skewed Nazi salute, clearly a Nazi salute, but skewed.

Look, I am agreeing with you, why are you arguing with me?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 13 hours ago

Really, the only question is whether he intentionally made the Nazi salute, or whether he's just so used to making the Nazi salute at other times that he just spontaneously did it out of excitement.

@stoy @T00l_shed he put so much effort in he grunted

[–] [email protected] 7 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, that is exactly my point, his stance got skewed by the effort he put into it, which deniers use to pretend that it wasn't a Nazi salute, but the grunt and skewed stance shows how much effort he put into it making a Nazi salute.

He was, as you pointed out EXTATIC to do that in public.

“I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead.” he said. Musk added that the experience made him vow “to destroy the woke mind virus after that, and we’re making some progress”.

sounds like an origin story told from the perspective of the villain after he has defeated the hero and it paints a very dark present for the United States and an even gloomier future

What he's going through isn't rare for parents of trans people. But that doesn't excuse it. Good parents learn to love the child they have not the one they thought they had. Musk meanwhile is making damn sure he never can earn his daughter's love back

It's characteristic of right-wingers that they refuse to learn from experience, to reflect on it and change their attitudes, and generally to grow as people. They cling tightly to the prejudices they start our with, and by which they define themselves, and demand that the world stop changing. It's a losing strategy, but they grow ever more bitter, angry and dangerous as reality continues to frustrate them.

The only people that say otherwise are okay with it. Plan and simple.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 13 hours ago

I mean, duh

[–] [email protected] 2 points 13 hours ago

Really? I thought he sneezed 🥸

[–] [email protected] 1 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

isn’t this the kid which was a boy & changed sex which Musk said is dead to him?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 12 hours ago

Yes, his daughter
